ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus tied the knot for the third time on Saturday with his partner of two years, with The Great British Bake Off star Sandi Toksvig set to officiate the ceremony.
The 79-year-old Swedish singer married his Danish partner Christina Sas, 51, in Copenhagen in the presence of close friends and family.
Björn revealed his happy news on Instagram, sharing several photos from the “extra special” day, during which Christina wore a stunning khaki dress.
The message on his Instagram read: ‘Today, September 21, 2024, Björn Ulvaeus married Christina Sas from Herning, Denmark.
‘They met in Nuremberg in 2021 in connection with the release of ABBA’s latest album, Voyage, and began dating in spring 2022.

For the ceremony, presenter Sandi, 66, who is friends with Björn after the pair collaborated on Mamma Mia: The Party! in 2018, opted for red clerical robes.
During their first public appearance together in June 2022, Björn and Christina told reporters: “We’ve been dating for a while now and I felt like I wanted to take her to this event. So this is the first time we’ve been out together.”
The couple met when Christina was working for ABBA’s Universal label in Germany, which released her album Voyage in 2021.
The following year, he announced that his 41-year marriage to his second wife, music journalist Lena Kallersjo, 75, was over.
In February 2022, Björn and Lena, who share two daughters Emma, 42, and Anna, 38, released a joint statement confirming their separation and agreeing to jointly share their £100million assets equally.

Bjorn married his second wife, music journalist Lena Kallersjo, 75, in 1981 and announced their separation in 2022. The couple have two children: Emma, 42, and Anna, 38 (pictured in 2019).
From 1971 to 1979, Bjorn was married to his bandmate and first wife, Agnetha Faltskog. They had children, Linda, 49, and Peter, 44.
He said: ‘After many wonderful and eventful years, we have decided to go our separate ways.
‘We remain close friends and will continue to celebrate our grandchildren’s birthdays and other family holidays together.’
From 1971 to 1979, Bjorn was married to his bandmate and first wife, Agnetha Faltskog.
They had children together, Linda, 49, and Peter, 44, and had spent more time together in recent years after ABBA reunited.
In 2020, Bjorn spoke candidly about his sex life in an interview, telling the Guardian’s Weekend magazine: “I’m 75 and I can’t do it more than four times a week.”
