It has the power to influence the US presidential election, helped save the US economy and made history at the Grammy Awards this year.

Now the Victoria and Albert Museum has created a job for an official Taylor Swift expert.

The museum, in Kensington, west London, hopes to display memorabilia, handmade posters and products associated with the pop star ahead of her upcoming European tour.

The lucky employee will have the title Taylor Swift Superfan Adviser and is expected to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the singer – and bosses want to give the job to a “bookish Swiftie”.

It’s one of nine new works the museum is introducing for superfans and collectors of Crocs, Pokémon cards, Lego, Emojis and Drag.

They hope the positions will boost knowledge within the museum and provide grassroots experience.

It comes after research commissioned by the V&A revealed that 44 per cent of Britons consider items from their own specialist collections worthy of a place in a museum.

V&A Director Dr Tristram Hunt said: “These new advisory roles will help us celebrate and discover more about the enormous, and often surprising, creative diversity on offer at the V&A.”

And the 34-year-old, who supported Joe Biden in 2020, could even influence the 2024 US election.

A poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies last month found that 18 percent of voters were “more likely” or “significantly more likely” to vote for a Swift-backed candidate.
