At the end of the last season of the successful show, it was not known if he would return, but clearly he would.
The actor was seen hugging his co-star Sarah Jessica Parker between scenes.
The Northern Exposure alum, 63, plays Aidan Shaw, Carrie’s on-off boyfriend in the Sex And The City revival.
Parker, 59, was dressed in her character’s signature eclectic style in a pair of bright blue cotton pants, a black sweater and white boots.
Meanwhile, the My Big Fat Greek Wedding actor wore jeans and a navy button-down shirt.
In one of the snapshots, the two actors laugh and Parker holds the book The Demon of Unrest: A Saga of Hubris, Heartbreak, and Heroism at the Dawn of the Civil War by Erik Larson in his hand.

At one point, he gave a warm hug to Parker, who was clutching his book, The Demon of Unrest: A Saga of Hubris, Heartbreak, and Heroism at the Dawn of the Civil War.
The old friends chatted animatedly in other photos from the set, with Parker bending over to adjust her boot at one point.
At the end of the second season, Carrie and Aidan called off their relationship again when he left for Virginia to care for their son for the next five years.
Parker also shared a short video clip on Instagram of herself emerging from her trailer dressed in a beautiful ivory dress adorned with floral appliqués designed by Simone Rocha.
She turned for the camera and blew a kiss as she walked onto the set.

She credited her stylist, Serge Normant, for capturing the photos and videos.
Her fans overwhelmingly approved of her character’s sexy look in the comments section and were quick to say that Parker looked “absolutely ethereal” and “stunning.”
