It’s the survival show famous for pushing its stars to the limit.
And now a source has revealed an embarrassing security breach that almost ruined a past season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here before it even aired.
The embarrassing incident occurred after a contestant “went wild” and disappeared from his hotel room in South Africa just before filming.
The famous missing athlete was later found drinking and enjoying local hospitality in a pub.
Since the star was a well-known face, his appearance in public jeopardized the ‘wow factor’ of the show, in which most of the cast is kept secret until the season premiere.

“Our team knew a lot of locals and started calling all the places this Australian sportsman might have frequented, and one of the people said, ‘Yeah, he’s in this pub.’
