Jenna Ortega shared the adorable video her mother posted on social media that launched her acting career.
The actress reflected on how her career began in 2010 when she was just seven years old due to a Facebook post.
The Wednesday star, now 22, shared the clip in the final episode of My Generation, a new docuseries from NBC News Studios airing on MSNBC.
“My mom recorded this video and posted it on Facebook for her friends, and they loved it,” he recalled.
The Scream alum, who was seen in a behind-the-scenes teaser clip shared by Netflix for the upcoming season on Wednesday, added, “Somehow, it finally made it to a casting agent, and the rest is history.”

His parents drove his six-hour round trip to Los Angeles four times a week after school.
Finally, at age 10, he landed his first role: a guest appearance on the CBS show Rob.

Although she rose to fame at a young age, she said her family helps her stay humble.

‘It’s nice to always have them by my side.’ Ortega also said that despite her fame, her family still treats her normally and doesn’t allow her to stop doing her chores.
“I come home from set and they don’t forget to tell me there are dishes in the sink waiting for me,” she said.
