Nick Knowles became the third star to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing after he and Luba Mushtuk lost the dance competition to Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu.
Both couples went back to performing their routines; Shayne and Nancy performed their Cha Cha to Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use) by Sub Sub feat. Melanie Williams.
Nick and Luba then performed their Charleston to Rain on the Roof from the movie Paddington 2.
However, despite narrowly returning to the competition while recovering from a shoulder and knee injury, Nick, 62, was soon sent home by all four judges – Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.
When Tess asked him about his time on the show, Nick said: “I was really surprised by how much I loved doing it and two things happen.”

He explained: ‘One is how much you worry every week and the other is how much you don’t want to let your partner down.
“The only reason I was able to do this is simply because of Luba’s changes, she’s been amazing.”
Luba said: ‘I have never met someone as determined as you, and I remember you said that if you do your best, you will be very happy. I think you did more than your best. Thank you.’
When Tess asked him about his partner Luba, Nick shared: ‘Luba has been amazing and she’s been fabulous every day.
“And I must also thank all the support staff, the physiotherapists, all the people who really helped me get through this week and all my fellow competitors who have been absolutely amazing, beautiful people.”
“There are some amazing dancers up there and I’ll love to see the rest of the series.”

Nick told the judges that it was okay that he was at the dance because he didn’t measure up.
The presenter told the jury that there were some fantastic dancers and he was not one of them but that he had tried his best
After Nick was announced as one of the dancers who would perform again in his place, he told Tess that it was the right decision for him to dance again.
He told the presenter: ‘It’s true.
“There are some fantastic dancers here and I wasn’t up to par for some reason.”
Craig Revel-Horwood then gave Craig a bit of a preview before his second performance.
He told the DIY SOS star not to worry about the dancing and just go for it.
He said: ‘You just need to work on the ideas in a more extreme way.
“I don’t care much about dancing; that’s what Charleston is, just throw yourself into it.”
Nick agreed before adding that it was crunch time and told Tess it was a case of “go good or go home” before adding that he would try to launch into his performance.
Nick told the hosts it was crunch time before hitting the court for the last time, telling Tess it was a matter of “go well or go home.”
Craig told the TV presenter that it was the best he had ever seen him perform, saying: “You threw all caution to the wind and that’s the best I’ve ever seen you dance.”
But despite Nick’s performance, it wasn’t enough to save him.
Craig told Tess he wanted to save Shayne and Nancy before congratulating the TV host and saying, “You totally threw caution to the wind and that’s the best I’ve ever seen you dance.”
Anton Du Beke echoed Craig’s assessment, telling the reality show host that both couples upped their game in the final moment and it was one of Nick’s best performances.
But it was the end of the road for Nick’s tumultuous time on the show and during his final dance with Luba, the other stars took to the floor to say goodbye.
The fast-paced results show also featured a special routine from our fabulous professional dancers to Taylor Swift’s ‘Wildest Dreams’, choreographed by Mandy Moore and starring Nikita Kuzmin and Karen Hauer.
There was also a performance of ‘Everything’s Here’ and ‘Nothing’s Lost’ by Snow Patrol.

Nick’s elimination comes after he was unsure if he would be able to dance following an injury that forced him to pull out of Film Week last week.
The remaining 12 couples will hit the dance floor next week when ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns on Saturday 19 October, with the results shown on Sunday 20 October on BBC One.
Both episodes from this weekend are available to watch now via BBC iPlayer.
Nick and Luba will join Fleur East and Janette Manrara for their first exclusive live televised interview on ‘Strictly: It Takes Two’ on Monday 14 October at 6.30pm on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
Doctors told Nick on Friday that he would be able to hit the dance floor on Saturday to dance again, a week after the injury forced him to withdraw from Film Week.
Breaking his silence, Nick took to Instagram with the positive news that he will be returning on Saturday night, as he admitted he missed his absence last week and had actually caught the dancing bug.
It began: ‘Hello everyone. Well, I watched last week’s show feeling very sad that I wasn’t there. Of course I loved cheering everyone else on, but I really missed it. I missed being part of this.
“When I signed up for Strictly I never thought for a moment that I’d love to dance the way I do and I’ve really caught the dancing bug, so I’m absolutely delighted to be back tomorrow.”
Thanking his support system, he added: “I am so grateful to all the physiotherapists and the BBC medical team for helping me recover.” See you tomorrow night.
A BBC spokesperson also said: “We are all delighted that Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk will be dancing in this Saturday’s show. The medical and physiotherapy teams have cleared Nick to dance following his injury last week.
“Due to time lost in training this week, they will be hosting their Movies Week Charleston on Paddington 2’s Rain On The Roof.”
Meanwhile, Fleur East broke the news during It Takes Two on Friday, confirming to fans: “Nick Knowles and Luba will be dancing again on Saturday, we’ll finally get to see their Charleston.”
He returned to rehearsals on Wednesday and was preparing to perform the dance with his professional partner Luba.
Sunday’s Results Show also featured a special routine by professional dancers to Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams, choreographed by Mandy Moore and starring Nikita Kuzmin and Karen Hauer.
There was also a musical performance of Everything’s Here and Nothing’s Lost by Snow Patrol.
