Jazz Jennings revealed she’s lost nearly 100 pounds as she showed off her trim figure and progress in a new Instagram video.
The 23-year-old reality TV star took to social media on Tuesday with a clip celebrating her weight loss, sharing a look at her figure now compared to two years ago.
Jazz, who rose to fame on the series I Am Jazz, which documented her journey as a transgender person, wrote in the caption: “Two years later and almost 100 pounds lighter!”
“I am very proud of my progress and I want to thank my family, friends and everyone who supported me in achieving it. Good health is not a certificate that is displayed, it is a constant effort!”
“I still have room for improvement, but I’m more motivated and inspired than in previous years. Let’s keep it up!”

The video shows Jennings training now and two years ago.
One part, titled “Me 2 Years Ago,” showed her struggling to run and leaning against a wall.
The clip then went on to show Jazz working out, looking slimmer and running with ease.
“I’m proud of my progress towards better health, but I’m still racing towards more goals,” she wrote in the video.
Jazz’s fans were impressed with the transformation, with one writing: “So proud of you! You look amazing! Keep up the good work!”
“You look amazing and healthy, that’s the most important part, you are a true inspiration,” another added.
“Jazz, you look amazing either way girl!” someone else chimed in.
In January, the reality TV star announced she had lost 70 pounds, writing, “I feel happier and healthier than I have in years.”
“I still have a long way to go, but I am very proud to finally be taking the steps to improve my mind, body and spirit.”
Jazz started going to the gym in 2021 and her experience was documented on the TLC show. The transgender rights advocate revealed that her weight gain was due to a binge eating disorder.
The reality TV star took to Instagram on Tuesday with a video to celebrate her weight loss, sharing a look at her figure now compared to two years ago.
The video showed Jennings working out in a black T-shirt and shorts that showed off her toned legs.
One part showed Jazz exercising with a ball.
At another point in the video, titled ‘Me 2 years ago’, she is seen struggling to run and leaning against a wall.
She addressed her size and body image in the show’s seventh season, with a clip showing her and a friend at the gym.
“I can’t do it,” he says. “But I can and I’ll try… but I can’t.”
Jazz complains during training, although she is determined to do her best.
“This is embarrassing because when I was younger, I used to be very dominant,” she says, as a video of her playing soccer as a teenager plays on the screen.
“When I was playing football, I was the best. When I ran the 40-yard dash, I was the fastest. And now, it’s like, ‘We’re giving you a little humility,'” she says.
Jazz shared at the time that her friends were a source of support for her.
“They’ve known me for a long time, they’ve seen me fluctuate, go through all shapes and sizes. But they’ve never seen me let myself go to this point, where I weigh what I weigh now.”
“They assure me that I am beautiful no matter my size, but above all they assure me that if my ambition is to lose weight and be healthier, they will be by my side and help me with that,” she says.
She also said she was losing weight for her health, not her looks, and that she feels beautiful no matter her size.
“I actually feel beautiful in all shapes and sizes. I love my body the way it is,” she said.
“But I have to say that I’m trying to lose weight for health reasons. I also have to feel good and I don’t feel good about some of the foods I’ve been eating. So I’ve been working on this 18-pound weight loss so I can be healthier and more myself.”
In June, she showed off her toned figure in a black swimsuit.

Transgender advocate reveals her weight gain was due to binge eating disorder
“I suffer from compulsive eating disorder, a condition in which I am not only addicted to food, but I eat large amounts of it. My binges, coupled with the increased appetite I experience due to some of the medications I take, have caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in just under two years,” she said.
She also said she has been happy with her body since undergoing gender replacement surgery three and a half years ago.
“I finally have the body I always wanted and a mind-body alignment that I didn’t have before. I feel complete,” she said.
In another scene, Jazz’s brothers sat her down for an intervention-type meeting about her weight.
Her brothers, Sander and Griffen, and her sister, Ari, presented her with a “vision square” on how they will help her with her nutrition, physical activity and routine to regain her health.
Jazz, a student at Harvard University, also took time off from college to deal with her eating disorder.
In a clip from earlier in the season, Jazz’s entire family weighed in on his eating habits, asking him how much butter he puts on his pasta at dinner.
“My family criticizes me for my weight. I feel so humiliated,” Jazz, who came out as transgender at age five, said in the video.
Elsewhere, Jazz said: ‘Two years ago, I was heading to one of the best institutions in the world, but I was actually struggling severely with mental health issues.
“I started binge eating and gained weight, more and more weight, and now, almost 100 pounds heavier, here I am today.”
The clips showed Jazz stepping onto a bathroom scale, which registered her weight at 234 pounds.
Jazz has spoken about her struggles with eating disorders in the past, dating back to a 2018 YouTube video in which she discussed binge eating.
Jazz began hormone therapy at age 12 and underwent gender confirmation surgery at age 17. Her reality show, I Am Jazz, documented her transition. It premiered in 2015 and is still airing; she is seen with her parents Jeanette and Greg Jennings.
She managed to lose weight, dropping 30 pounds before her gender confirmation surgery.
“I had to retrain my mind,” she told People at the time. “I had to look at food in a different way than I did before.”
‘Because I used food as a comfort for my emotional struggles. I was a compulsive eater. It was really bad. I would go to McDonald’s, buy 20 chicken nuggets, three chocolate chip cookies and a large French fry.
“I really had to stop doing that and realize that it was very unhealthy and that I needed to take care of myself.”
