The show was a huge hit in Australia and aired in over 25 countries around the world.
Alex’s character died in a boxing accident at the end of the first season.

The ’90s teen drama tackled heavy themes, including racism, at the fictional Hartley High.
The drama, which aired from 1994 to 1999 on Channel 10 and ABC, launched the careers of Ada Nicodemou and Callan Mulvey, among others.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia in 2021, Alex said he feels “very lucky”.
“I’m very lucky in how it was organized and structured,” he said.
“I was a teenager and we first made a movie, The Heartbreak Kid, and it was a huge hit… I was like a young new star and they really launched me into stardom,” Alex said.

“I had no idea what was going on. I was in great shape and I was very, very young and I was living my dream, I guess… I knew I was good at it (acting) and I knew I had a great future, but I never imagined I would do something like that. It was pretty wild.”
Alex said that despite having achieved fame at an early age, he always remained humble and down to earth.
“I behaved normally, people would ask me: ‘How are you doing with all this? How is your life going?'” he added.
‘I remained the same person. I started trying to visualize where I wanted to go with this and not get caught up in the idea of ”how amazing I am.”
