A “kind” elderly man is in hospital with serious injuries after allegedly being brutally beaten by two men in the parking lot of a Hungry Jack’s.
Two men, aged 21 and 22, were arrested over the shocking incident, which was captured on security cameras.
The brutal scenes unfolded outside Hungry Jack’s restaurant in the northern Perth suburb of Jindalee at about 3.15am on Friday.
The injured man, aged in his 70s, who was sleeping rough, was rushed to hospital after the attack.
The man remains in Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries. He is currently in a stable condition in the trauma unit.
The alleged attackers, who were reportedly not known to their victim, fled the scene in a silver sedan from the Cockleshell Brace area.
Police said they had arrested two suspects at a home in the nearby suburb of Butler on Friday afternoon.
