Thierry Henry offered his co-writer Jamie Carragher a brutal putdown on CBS Sports’ Golazo program on Tuesday night, following the Liverpool legend’s playful banter at Micah Richards.
Henry, Carragher and Richards are regular co-writers on CBS Sports’ popular Champions League coverage show, known for its light-hearted take on the week’s European action.
The show, presented by Kate Abdo, has become a favorite with fans and players alike, with stars of the game such as Manchester City’s Jack Grealish often heading straight onto the pitch after games.
On Tuesday night, Bayern Munich took on Real Madrid with the two giants drawing 2-2, and as the pundits analyzed the game, Carragher aimed a jibe in Richards’ direction.
‘This show has come a long way, hasn’t it?’ Carragher said. ‘Micah Richards is telling Thierry Henry about tactics!’

The Arsenal legend sent Carragher ‘back into his lane’ after he jumped into Micah Richards’ defence.
Carragher had made a joke about Richards’ tactical knowledge after Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw with Real Madrid.
‘You were just reminding me of something I already told you, true or false?’ Enrique responded.
After Richards explained that he was reminding Henry of a point he had raised earlier, Henry clarified, “I’m just getting Jamie back in his lane!”
It was an action-packed night on CBS, with Thomas Muller’s post-match interview hilariously interrupted by Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni.
Muller was on screen and began to give his opinion on the game before he was apparently distracted by something off-camera, before revealing what had interrupted him.
‘Tchouameni is listening to tactics for the next match!’ the German legend joked.
Then Los Blancos star Tchouameni appeared on screen and the two shook hands, before the Frenchman quickly disappeared again, before his own interview afterwards.
The team had just played out a thrilling 2-2 draw, with Los Blancos tying Bayern and holding the advantage heading into the home game.
Vinicius Junior opened the scoring in the first half, before a four-minute brace from Leroy Sane and Harry Kane gave Thomas Tuchel’s side the lead heading into the final stages of the match.

Müller admitted he was “not satisfied” with the result after Bayern Munich’s home game
But Brazilian star Vinicius rose once again, burying a penalty in the 83rd minute to keep Real in the tie and surely the favorite to now reach the final.
Müller admitted he was “not satisfied” with the result of the first leg, as Bayern Munich blew a 2-1 lead, but added: “That’s Real Madrid.”
‘You have to be careful at every minute,’ he added. ‘Toni Kroos laughs, but he knows that he is always the same. So today I’m not happy, but he was good.”
Since his debut in the tournament in 2009, he has made 150 appearances in the Champions League, a figure only reached by five other players.
