Uber Eats is preparing to launch a new menu with three-Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan.
The food delivery service’s latest offering is a far cry from a late-night pizza or greasy kebab, instead offering shrimp custard, chicken offal doughnuts and pickled tapioca.
Said to be the most sustainable meal Uber has ever launched, the menu has been developed using only ingredients grown on and around Rogan’s farm in the Cartmel Valley in the Lake District, along with meat, fish and dairy products from local suppliers.
The same farm supplies three-Michelin-starred L’Enclume de Rogan, which also holds a coveted Michelin green star, awarded to restaurants at the forefront of the industry in terms of their sustainable practices.
Simon and his team will be cooking the menu for Uber Eats customers located in London on 18 and 19 September between 5 and 10pm, priced at £80, with wine pairings available for £30.

Aynsome offers 51 ingredients, the bay shrimp custard is the starter
The Uber Eats-exclusive menu consists of five courses, with snacks consisting of a birch sap-glazed Park House pudding, a chicken offal doughnut, and Diana radishes with lovage emulsion.
Next up is a salad featuring 51 ingredients from Simon’s Cartmel Valley farm, ‘Our Farm’, including bay prawn custard using prawns from nearby Morecambe Bay. The number 51 is particularly significant as it refers to the 51 years since organic certification was introduced in the UK.

Lake District Farmers’ heritage breed beef rib is the main course of the meal. It is served with fermented cabbage, chanterelles and a delicious gravy with wild garlic stalks, pickled tapioca and wild garlic oil. The meal will conclude with petit fours.
The menu will be Uber Eats’ most sustainable takeaway yet in the UK, with fully biodegradable packaging created from algae and manufactured by an Earthshot Prize-winning company.
Food will be transported by electric van from Cartmel to London in recyclable packaging and most deliveries to customers will be made by bicycle or e-bike.
This partnership with Simon Rogan comes ahead of Uber’s second annual climate event in London, GO-GET Zero, taking place on October 8, to unveil new features that will make sustainability the best choice and build momentum on our journey to zero emissions.
Our signature dish is a Heritage Bred Short Rib, glazed in our signature bean paste, fermented cabbage, chanterelles, meat sauce infused with bear garlic stems, pickled tapioca, bear garlic oil.

Simon, whose restaurants boast eight Michelin stars worldwide and two Michelin Green Stars, is the latest chef to bring a unique menu to Uber Eats following previous iterations by Gareth Ward of Ynyshir and Jeremy Chan of Ikoyi.
Simon is credited with transforming the UK’s food scene with his farm-to-table approach to cooking, reflected in the green Michelin star he has achieved for his three-Michelin-starred restaurant, L’Enclume, in the Lake District.
Food lovers travel from around the world to sample his food, whether at L’Enclume in the Lake District, the first of Simon’s restaurants which opened 22 years ago, or at Chef’s Table at Aulis London, his most recent reopening in Soho, which was recently awarded its first Michelin star earlier this year.
Simon Rogan said: ‘I’m delighted to be partnering with Uber Eats to highlight some of the best produce we can grow and source in this country, much of which I’m proud my team and I have produced on our own farm in the Lake District.
“My culinary philosophy has always been influenced by the natural environment, while sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do. Uber Eats has really gone above and beyond to match this ethos with this project.”
Park House pudding glazed with birch sap, stout vinegar, aged for 24 months. Park House is the starter.
Guests will also be able to enjoy ‘diène radishes with lovage emulsion’.
Also on offer are Aynsome Sweet Herbs, Strawberry Juice, Pressed Strawberries, Marigold and Cake.
Matthew Price, Managing Director for the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe at Uber Eats, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Simon Rogan on our latest Uber Eats Hosts, which allows us to bring hard-to-reach food experiences to your doorstep. We jumped at the chance to work with such a celebrated chef to create our most sustainable takeaway menu yet in the UK.”
‘I can’t wait for our customers to try the 51-ingredient salad, it’s a truly special dish, not to mention the special-sourced Heritage Bred Beef Short Rib from the Lake District which sits at the heart of the menu.’
The first night will be available only for Uber One users and the second night will be available to all customers.
