On Sunday, X user Tom Zohar posted a screenshot from a 1991 episode of Supermarket Sweep and captioned it: ‘I love watching old episodes of Supermarket Sweep because these two just said they’re “business partners” who “design sets for plays” and I’m like “I’m sure.”‘

“The host asked them what the weirdest set they’d ever been asked to design was and their whole lives flashed before their eyes trying to come up with a straight answer,” he joked.

In an adorable update, Tim confirmed that they are actually a couple and tied the knot in 2008 when gay marriage became legal in California, which was also their 25th anniversary.

‘So… a friend shared that Mark and I had been made into a meme for appearing on Supermarket Sweep decades ago and saying we were business partners,’ Tim wrote in a comment on a Facebook group.

“They started asking ‘where are they now?’ so we posted an update. It’s taken on a life of its own in the thread and in the comments. What a world!”

In another comment, Tim shared that he and Mark ran a backdrop and set design and painting business for 27 years.

“A lot of things have changed since we were on that show as far as gay couples and being on TV and stuff like that,” said Tim, 64. People.

“When we were first getting to know California, it was really exciting to see the Los Angeles Times listing game show contestants,” Tim explained.

“I guess it’s different than it is now. And we just said it would be a fun way to make some money,” he continued.

“That was the first one. And then, actually, Mark was also on Win, Lose or Draw,” he joked.

According Entertainment Weekly, Tim and Mark performed well in their episode, but ended up losing to David and Paula, a married couple who took home $1,264.
