Travis Barker sells boarding pass from recent trip to Australia for $8,000

Travis Barker is selling his boarding pass from his recent trip to Australia for $8,000.

The document, along with other memorabilia from Barker’s 2023 world tour and the recording of his final Blink-182 album, is now available for purchase on Trophy’s website, with a portion of the proceeds going to the nonprofit Lost But Not Forgotten.

For Barker fans, the boarding pass represents a significant hurdle the rocker had to overcome.

In 2008, Barker survived a fatal plane crash that claimed the lives of four people. He was unable to fly again for 13 years.

But now Barker is flying again, and the boarding pass he used during his recent flight in Australia appears to be a nod to the challenges he overcame after the crash.

Barker drew a cross at the bottom center of the document and wrote in capital letters: “I know I have angels watching over me.”

The number 7 is seen by many as an “angel number” and the musician’s ticket showed both the date February 7 and the seat number 7.

The pass was for her February 2024 trip on Qantas Airlines from Sydney, Australia to Perth.

A product description reads: ‘A truly unique item for the ultimate Travis Barker collector. After not flying for over 13 years following his near-fatal plane crash, he was finally able to tour overseas again recently. This extremely rare trading boarding pass is not just a piece of musical memorabilia, it is a true piece of Travis himself, complete with an original handwritten note and drawing of a cross.’

The Blink-182 drummer had traveled to Australia with his wife Kourtney Kardashian and his family for his band’s first tour in the country in a decade.

The pop-punk band last toured Australia in 2013, but Travis did not join them due to his fear of flying, which arose after he was a passenger in a plane crash in 2008.

Travis has previously credited “the power of love” from his wife Kourtney Kardashian, 44, with whom he shares eight-month-old son Rocky, for helping him overcome his fear of flying.

Talking with him Los Angeles TimesHe said: “I think the power of love really helped me. Kourt made me fly, made my kids fly now. She healed us.”

Barker wrote

Barker wrote “I know I have angels watching over me” and also a cross on the boarding pass.

“Every time I fly, I take a little piece of my life with me. The amount of stress and anxiety it causes me is just unbearable. It brings back all those old traumas and sometimes I wonder, ‘Is it worth it?'”

“But I also don’t like being controlled by anything; I don’t like being afraid, and I don’t like things from my past controlling my future.”

Travis shares Alabama, 18, and Landon, 20, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, while he is also stepfather to Shanna’s daughter Atiana de la Hoya, 25.

In August 2021, Travis successfully took his first plane trip in 13 years when he flew to Cabo San Lucas with Kourtney.

In September 2008, Travis boarded a private jet in South Carolina to head to Los Angeles after a show, accompanied by his friend Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, his security guard Charles “Che” Still, and his assistant Chris Baker.

As the small plane attempted to take off, one of the tires burst, causing the aircraft to veer off the runway, crash through the airport fence and the nearby highway, and eventually crash into the embankment at the side of the road.

Travis suffered third-degree burns over 65 percent of his body and had to spend three months in the hospital undergoing skin grafts and 26 surgeries to repair the damage.

After the accident, Travis was overcome with a debilitating fear even at the sight of an airplane.
