Tom Cruise has been everywhere this summer: Wembley for Taylor Swift, Glastonbury for Coldplay, Wimbledon for tennis and Paris for the Olympics.

But there were no festival falafels, no strawberries and cream on Centre Court, not even champagne on the Champs-Élysées for the Mission: Impossible star.

The Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff reports that the 62-year-old icon orders white fish and steamed vegetables — without sauce, oil or butter — wherever he goes.

Alcohol is also prohibited.

The movie star has said the secret to his success is that he works harder than anyone else – and that includes getting up at 5.30am to hit the gym.

It was previously revealed that instead of three main meals a day, the star opts for 15 small snacks.

His decision to snack between meals better suits his busy lifestyle, as Tom opts for fruit, which helps reduce cravings compared to crisps or chocolate.

In 2020, it was revealed that she was consuming just 1,200 calories a day as part of a diet plan devised by David Beckham.

Shunning sugary snacks, processed foods and carbohydrates, Tom prefers grilled foods and slow-cooked foods cooked for him by his personal chef.

Cooking at low temperatures is said to be better for your health than cooking at high temperatures, which has been associated with accelerated aging and chronic tissue inflammation.

Tom will opt for foods such as salmon, dark chocolate, raw oats, blueberries, ginger, beets, broccoli, olive oil, tomatoes and spinach.

She also makes sure to incorporate antioxidant-rich foods like fruits, nuts, and vegetables that are also anti-inflammatory in nature and supplements her diet with added vitamins and minerals.

Singer Sting also attributes his incredible figure to his macrobiotic diet, which consists of lots of vegetables and grains, and aims to avoid toxins and processed foods containing preservatives.

The singer is so dedicated to his diet that he reportedly keeps his own personal chef with him on tour to maintain it while he’s away from home.

In 2015, Tom’s Mission: Impossible co-star Simon Pegg revealed a little about the star’s healthy eating habits.

She told E!: “Tom is disciplined to a fault. It’s amazing.”

The comedian added that Tom offered his services as a chef on the set of the fifth instalment, explaining: “It wasn’t like boring bunny chow or a protein shake.

‘They were like big casseroles and these delicious peanut butter-stuffed dates sprinkled with coconut for snacking, and these little truffle balls that were so good.’

Simon also denied rumours that the movie star forced the cast to follow his strict diet.

The Hot Fuzz star explained: “He told me, ‘If you want to do what I do, do it too.’ It was all him. He gave it to us.”

Tom has maintained the figure that drove fans wild when he burst onto the entertainment scene in 1986 with his breakout role in Top Gun (pictured).
