He is part of one of the best-selling bands of all time and is a three-time Grammy Award winner.

But the 61-year-old music star looked very different from her usual rocker self as she dressed up as Victoria Beckham – as Posh Spice in a throwback photo.

The singer, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, was pictured accompanied by his two bandmates as they performed with the Spice Girls.

The rocker and his band, who formed in the 1980s, scored their first number one song, Give It Away, in 1999.

They have since received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022, but can you guess who’s in the photo?

Did you guess correctly? It’s none other than the founding member and lead vocalist of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony Kiedis.

He was joined by his bandmates Flea, 61, real name Michael Peter Balzary, who transformed himself into Baby Spice (Emma Bunton) and John Frusciante, 54, as Sporty Spice (Mel C).

The singer proved she was worth it for her friends when she transformed into Posh Spice for Flea’s daughter Clara’s 10th birthday in 2017.

Flea had daughter Clara, now 35, with ex-wife Loesha Zeviar and is also father to daughter Sunny Bebop, 18, with Frankie Rayder.

He welcomed his third child with his current wife, Melody Ehsani, in December 2022.

Anthony wore a strapless black top and miniskirt and completed Victoria’s iconic look with a short black wig.

Meanwhile, Flea donned a pink minidress and blonde wig as she dressed up as Emma Bunton and John donned a sporty tracksuit copying Mel C’s style.

Sharing the snap on Instagram, Flea wrote: ‘When we did a Spice Girls performance for my daughter Clara’s 10th birthday.

‘John, the jock; Anthony, the dapper; me, the baby; and the great Chris Warren, who was scary but sadly not in this photo. Believe me, he looked beautiful. We practiced our moves seriously and gave the kids our best.’

The throwback snap comes as it was revealed earlier this year that Universal Pictures is working on an Anthony Kiedis biopic.

In Kiedis’ acclaimed book, he wrote about his unconventional relationship with his father, who was addicted to drugs and shared them with his son.

The volume also covers the death of Red Hot Chili Peppers founding guitarist Hillel Slovak, who died of a heroin overdose at age 26.

But Kiedis has previously admitted he regretted writing his memoir, which once sparked a disagreement with bandmate Flea after he revealed in the book that he had slept with his friend’s sister.

In 2016, Kiedis told The Sun: “I regretted reading the book for a while because it caused me some pain. But then I started to see the long-term positive repercussions. People were reading it in hospitals, prisons and schools and it was having a positive effect.

‘I realized that the point of writing that book was not for me, but to show that someone can go all the way, come back and have a productive, successful, happy and interesting life.

“And so any embarrassment, pain, difficulty or discomfort that I went through, it was worth it because so many people come up to me and say that their kids read it and got straightened out because of it.”

Kiedis has fronted the multi-platinum selling band since it formed in the late 1980s, frequently appearing shirtless on stage during concerts.
