The View co-host Ana Navarro is facing fierce backlash for mocking Donald Trump’s ear injury following an assassination attempt last weekend.

Navarro, a prominent Trump critic, said on Friday’s show that she wished the bandage covering Trump’s ear was placed over his mouth.

The mockery followed hour-and-a-half-long remarks the former president made at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night, after officially becoming the party’s nominee on Monday.

It was also his first speech since would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, shot Trump in the ear before being neutralized by the Secret Service at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last Saturday.

“What we saw yesterday was a repeat of Trump’s constant 90-minute rallies,” Navarro said.

“It’s a shame the bandage was right over his ear. It should have been over his mouth,” he added, prompting laughter from the studio audience.

The View co-host Ana Navarro mocked the wound Donald Trump sustained in the assassination attempt, saying on Friday’s episode: “It’s a shame the bandage was only over his ear. It should have been over his mouth.”

The 52-year-old joked in reference to Trump saying God was on his side after he survived the assassination attempt: “God should have unplugged that microphone yesterday.”

Online critics called for the show to be cancelled in response to Navarro’s comments.

He also suggested on Friday’s episode that Trump’s speech was more an indicator of mental instability than President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate and subsequent gaffes that have cast doubt on his fitness for office.

Navarro, a self-proclaimed “anti-Trump” Republican who votes Democratic, says that if Biden gave the same speech Trump gave at the convention, “men in white coats” would “put him in a police car.”

During the same episode, Joy Behar described Trump as “very narcissistic” after claiming he survived his assassination attempt because God was “on his side.”

There is now a growing crowd calling for The View’s long-time co-host to be fired.

The former president, 78, acknowledged his Christian faith while addressing the Republican Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, earlier this week.

Behar, 81, criticized Trump’s lengthy statement during Friday’s episode, calling his words “very un-Christian” and “disturbing.”

Before taking a commercial break on the ABC show, she said: “I want to point out one thing: I’m talking to other Christians. I was raised Catholic. I’m a Christian girl.”

“When something like that happens to you, like an attempted murder, and you say something like ‘God was watching me,’ that’s a very un-Christian thing to say because it’s very narcissistic.”

Sitting alongside her co-stars Navarro, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Fara Griffin, she continued: “What about Corey (Comperatore)? What’s his name? Comperatore, the firefighter who was also killed?”

“What about all those guys who were killed at Sandy Hook? All those people?”

“Oh, God was looking at me and not at them? There’s something very disturbing about that.”

Angry viewers called for Behar to be kicked off The View after claiming she “attacked an entire religious foundation.”

“If there was ever an example of someone who is NOT a Christian, that person is Joy Behar, so she should stop claiming to be one… She should be fired. She is a hateful human being,” wrote one.

Another posted: ‘Please shut up already. How is The View still on the air?’

A third said: ‘Joy clearly knows nothing about being a Christian and should probably look into what God thinks of people who speak in His name and don’t know Him.

“I should start by understanding that God wanted to kill Job’s friends because of their foolishness. In reality, we are witnessing the work of God.”

“What an unnecessary thing to do!” exclaimed a fourth. “Of course, any reasonable person would say, ‘God was with me,’ if something like that happened to them.

“And he couldn’t even memorize Corey’s last name before he made this canned comment. How ugly!”

A fifth joked: “Well-known Christianity expert Joy Behar.”

A sixth exclaimed: “The View told Joy Behar that “GOD” was looking out for me when I almost died from an overdose so if that’s a very un-Christian thing for me to do, she needs to be FIRED immediately!!! She just attacked an entire religious foundation!”

This comes amid growing calls for MSNBC host Joy Reid to be taken off the air after she shared incendiary theories about the attempted assassination of Trump.

Reid, 55, angered critics on two occasions when he shared a video with X implying that he hadn’t even been shot.

Days later, after President Biden tested positive for Covid, Reid said on a broadcast that the Democrat’s brush with the virus was as heroic as Trump’s reaction in narrowly avoiding a bullet.

On Thursday night, Trump spoke at length about the July 13 assassination attempt that claimed the life of Corey Comperatore, a father of two.

During his speech, he said: ‘The bullets continued to fly as very brave Secret Service agents ran onto the stage and pounced on me to protect me.

‘There was blood running everywhere, and yet in a way I felt very safe, because I had God on my side.

‘The amazing thing is that before the shot, if I had NOT moved my head at the last instant, the assassin’s bullet would have hit exactly the target and I would not be with you tonight.’

Last Saturday, Trump raised his fist in the air with blood running down his face seconds after being shot in the ear by gunman Crooks at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

He survived the assassination attempt when the bullet missed him by less than an inch.

He arrived eight minutes after he took the stage at 6:03 p.m. ET.

The criminals opened fire from a rooftop 130 meters from where the former president was on stage speaking to thousands of fans.

He was shot and killed in the incident moments after shooting Comperatore dead.

‘It’s not just angry viewers who are calling for Joy to be sacked.
