The-Dream is sued for alleged sexual assault, abuse and trafficking by his former protégée Chanaaz Mangroe

The-Dream was accused of a series of disturbing allegations in a new lawsuit filed by former protégé Chanaaz Mangroe.

On Tuesday, Mangroe, 33, alleged that the singer-songwriter, 46, subjected her to “violent sexual acts and cruel psychological torture” during their past relationship.

In court documents obtained by Peoplethe aspiring musician The so-called The-Dream, born Terius Gesteelde-Diamant, lured her into a relationship with false promises of launching her music career.

He was 23 years old at the time when, according to the file, The-Dream was leading the ‘vulnerable artist in an abusive, violent and manipulative relationship’ in 2015.

The-Dream is best known for writing smash hits for Beyoncé, Rihanna and Mariah Carey.

The-Dream denied the accusations to The New York Timescalling them “false and defamatory.”

He also told the outlet that he is “deeply offended and saddened” by Mangroe’s allegations.

“These claims are false and defamatory,” he said in a statement shared with the outlet by his representative.

‘I oppose all forms of harassment and have always strived to help people achieve their professional goals. “As someone committed to making a positive impact on my fellow artists and the world at large, I am deeply offended and saddened by these accusations.”
