This is the disgusting moment a tourist was caught on CCTV dropping a cockroach on her plate in an attempt to avoid paying the bill for her meal at a restaurant.
The woman can be seen in the footage sitting at the head of a table at Puerto Chale restaurant in Guadalajara, Mexico, before making her clever move.
The table is full of food and the diner is picking at her food while chatting with three other people at the table.
After a few moments, the woman can be seen quickly looking around before sliding her hand under the table and pulling out what appears to be a small container.
She quickly waves her hand over her plate before returning to her food and conversation as if nothing had happened as what is believed to be a dead cockroach falls onto the plate.

After making her sneaky move, she brought her hands to her face to look shocked and disgusted by the bug in her food.
She was seen smiling at her party after a waitress came to bring food to the kitchen.
The woman asks a man sitting next to her to pass her a fork and continues eating silently.
After moving his fork around the plate of food for a moment, he pretends to notice something in his food and brings his hand to his mouth in a display of surprise and disgust.
A waitress runs up to the seemingly distressed customer while pointing out the insect in his food.
She can be seen gagging and making vomiting gestures as the unconscious waitress takes the plate from the table and returns it to the kitchen.
The woman then wipes her mouth with a handkerchief and her theatrics seem to have ended as she engages the table in conversation once again.
The man next to him smiles and hands him a plate of different food, as they believe they have gotten away with their sneaky antics.
Moments later, the man looks up and makes direct eye contact with the CCTV camera lens, warning the woman that they may have been recorded the entire time.
She turns her head with a worried expression on her face and also looks towards the camera before continuing her conversation and eventually filing a complaint at the checkout.
The complaint resulted in them being waived from the bill, according to the owner of the Mexican restaurant.
They explained that the woman threatened to cause a scandal if she was charged for the meal.
He quickly realized that there was a surveillance camera above his head.
The woman continued eating before filing a complaint and receiving a refund.
However, as restaurant workers apply strict health protocols and inspect each dish as it leaves the kitchen, they suspected foul play.
As soon as the group left the premises, the manager checked the CCTV footage and discovered that the family had allegedly organised a premeditated scam.
They shared the video of the ‘unfortunate incident’ on their TikTok page, where it went viral with 3.3 million views and thousands of comments.

After the video went viral on TikTok, users accused the same family of scamming other restaurants in Guadalajara with similar tactics.
Some locals have even given the woman the nickname “The Cockroach Lady” because of her alleged maneuvers to avoid paying the bill.
It is unclear whether the restaurant owner has filed a complaint against the family.
