She is said to be reluctant to the idea, but Queen Camilla will be immortalized in bronze next year for her first official royal sculpture.
“I don’t think she would be mad about having it done,” revealed artist Lady Petchey, “but she accepted, as it will be kept at the Royal Osteoporosis Society, which I think is lovely.”
The Queen is president of the charity, which will display the finished work at its headquarters in Bath, with a copy sent to Clarence House.
Lady Petchey, known professionally as Frances Segelman, previously sculpted the late Queen and Prince Philip, as well as the King when he was Prince of Wales, and is now completing a new bust of him with the correct regalia and medals as monarch.
It was while working at Clarence House that Segelman, 75, met Camilla. “We had a connection,” the sculptor told me. ‘I really like her a lot, she is such a lovely woman, she is not vain at all.

‘Camilla also revealed a bust I did of the late Queen for Barnardo’s in east London, and she loved it. In fact, he told me “this is the best bust of Her Majesty the Queen I have ever seen.”
Segelman said his bust of Camilla will be “absolute perfection, I think it’s the best work of my life.”
He added that the Royal Family “knows that I make beautiful representations of them and that they are beautiful sculptures.” With portraits it’s very different: you can go a little crazy. But with sculpture it really has to look like the person. Getting the exact look of someone in a sculpture and the feeling behind it is an art and I believe I can achieve it.”
Segelman recently sold an eight-inch sculpture of Carlos for £30,000 through online auction house House of Assets.
Designer store that’s not ready for Eddie
He may have won the Oscar twice, but Eddie Redmayne had to wait like any other customer at Saint Laurent, which only allows one customer at a time into its London flagship.
The actor, 42, who attended Eton with Prince William, patiently queued outside in the cold for ten minutes with his wife Hannah Bagshawe, 41, before being allowed into the Old Fashioned designer store. Bond Street.
Eddie recently showed off his six-pack abs in promotional photos for Sky’s new thriller The Day Of The Jackal, in which he plays a killer.
I’m glad to see you’re not playing the big shot.

Buzzing the Beckhams
David and Victoria Beckham might have hoped their £10million Cotswold retreat would provide them with some peace of mind, but it didn’t.
It is under the flight path of Enstone Aerodrome and is frequently traveled by small aircraft.
“There is a constant sound of airplanes,” says one local. ‘Pilots are ordered not to pass low over residential properties, but must approach Beckham Square. I imagine it bothers them.
Last Saturday alone, in one hour, eight planes flew over the house.

The tramp is his bag
Tramp, Mayfair’s famous private members’ club, may have recently reopened without its famous dance floor, but it’s still a hit with the stealth wealth set.
Swarovski crystal heiress and fashion designer Marina Raphael chose the venue for the launch of her latest collaboration with star stylist Georgia Medley.
Marina, 26, had handsome men carry the bags on trays for guests, including TV presenter Rochelle Humes, to try, while eating crisps.
Attendees were then taken home in a Rolls-Royce. Who says money can’t buy happiness?

“I only have seven, but they are really good,” said the Irish heartthrob. ‘I am very thorough and I don’t pick up any stones.
“They really have to look like a potato,” he explained at a Diet Coke party at 180 House, London.
