Appearing on the BBC At breakfast, host Sally Nugent couldn’t help but ask Mark about his makeover.

Referring to her Take That days, she asked: ‘Actually, you look different. The mustache, how long has it been there?

Mark replied: ‘It’s probably been there for about four years. It started out as a beard and then my beard got a little patchy on this side. Then we’d go on tour and beards can get a little sweaty on tour…’

He continued: ‘Then it turned into a mustache and stuck. My kids keep threatening to cut it off and say, ‘Can we just…?’

Viewers couldn’t help but notice the singer’s clean shave and new haircut with fans claiming it took them “back to the ’90s.”

Explaining his reasoning for wanting to keep the mustache, he commented: “I have made my work of art.” I can’t change the look! I have made the video. I can’t change my appearance now.’

But the musician, long known as the band’s “cute monkey”, has apparently decided to change things up again.

They have been enjoying the success of their latest album, This Life, which shot straight to number one.

And now, Take That has been reported to have a film project in the works about their upcoming tour.

The band, made up of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, began their extensive tour in Sheffield next Saturday.

But for fans who can’t make it to any of the 41 UK dates the singers have scheduled, there may be another way to see the iconic band in action.

An informant said Sun that the tour “marks an important milestone for the band” who would like to document their success.

They revealed: “They are in talks to put together a film for the tour, which will give fans a real insight into the inner workings of the group.”

“All the finer details are being worked out, but it’s something they really want to happen.”

The source added that it will be a huge six months for the band and the trio are eager to get back on stage.

MailOnline has contacted Take That’s representatives for comment.

In addition to the tour, the band also announced that they will be performing at an exclusive four-day festival in Malta called The Greatest Weekend.

Same but different: Mark Owen looked a far cry from his early Take That days when he appeared on BBC Breakfast on Monday with long hair and a moustache.

Appearing on BBC Breakfast in 2022, he revealed his new look saying it started out as a “patchy beard” and then “turned into a mustache and stuck” (pictured).

It will feature a star-studded lineup including Sam Ryder, Sugababes, Ella Henderson, Daniel Bedingfield and Heather Small.

Between Thursday 17th and Sunday 20th October, the live event will see Gary, Mark and Howard host a “celebration of music, entertainment and unforgettable moments, curated by the band themselves.”

Alongside some promotional images posted on their official Instagram, the band captioned them: “Not only will we be performing a Greatest Hits show, but we will also be performing our second album ‘Everything Changes’ in its entirety.”

‘Howard will treat you to an epic DJ set and we’re hosting nightclub events, pool parties, boat parties and more for all of you!’
