Skye Wheatley shocked fans by arguing loudly with her partner Lachlan Waugh over renovations to their Gold Coast mansion.
The 30-year-old influencer shared a stunning video on Instagram on Friday that captured Lachlan taking Skye on a tour of the renovation work on their new home.
The video begins with Lachlan showing off the work, while pointing out which rooms will have skylights to capture the bright sunshine.
“I just ordered the windows and designed the room myself!” Lachlan proudly told Skye, who initially agreed that his plans were “impressive.”
However, Skye soon became annoyed with some of Lachlan’s plans and questioned why he had put skylights in some rooms but not others.
“There’s no point in putting a skylight in this room because of the beautiful window. We could have used that skylight in the dressing room,” Skye began frustrated.
“My God, why didn’t you think of that? There are skylights where they shouldn’t be and none where they should be!”
However, Lachlan was having none of it and was frustrated when he told his partner that he had chosen the ideal locations for the skylights and that none were needed for the closet.

“It’s a shitty room, how many dark rooms do you go into? Okay, what are you really worried about? You can’t take a picture in there?” Lachlan asked angrily.
Fans were divided by the heated discussion and quickly took to the comments section to say whether they were on team Skye or team Lachlan.
“If you put skylights in that place, your clothes will fade faster. It’s a mistake to put them there, don’t do it,” wrote one Lachlan supporter.

In 2023, Wheatley put his $75,000 Mercedes up for sale to help fund renovations to his luxury Gold Coast mansion.
