At Lucy’s wedding, Simon, dressed in a black suit, walked down the aisle arm in arm with Lucy, who was visibly emotional before the ceremony.
Sharing details of their big day with ¡HOLA! The couple revealed that both Simon and their Boston Terrier Steve, who was wearing a black bow-tie suit, took center stage during the wedding.
Lucy also revealed that in a touching move, he walked down the aisle to his own song, a gushing love composition dedicated to his now wife, titled Other Sides of the Moon.
‘Simon and I were standing outside the door and my song started playing. “I was already crying and Simon definitely had a tear in his eye,” she said.
“I was holding his arm, but then I realized I was holding his. He kept saying, ‘You’re okay, you’re okay.’ So when Emilia came in with her father, I started crying.”
Speaking about the moment she saw Lucy walk down the aisle for the first time, Emilia said: ‘When I saw Lucy, it was everything I had imagined and more.
“When I got to the end of the hall, Simon was looking at us both and looked very proud, as did my father.”
Speaking about her big day, Lucy, who recently patched up her friendship with Simon, said he “had a tear in his eye” as he prepared to walk her down the aisle.
Simon was joined by his fiancee Lauren for the occasion, along with actor Tom Turgoose, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Bimini Bon Boulash and Love Island star Adam Collard.
Lucy previously revealed that Simon Cowell would walk her down the aisle after the couple patched up their relationship following their time on the X Factor in 2012.
The singer revealed last year that she left the show after being raped by a hotel doorman in the room where she was staying following a party with Rylan Clark during the show’s production.
Lucy explained that Simon was the first to apologize, previously admitting that his call “just made things so much better for me.”
