Self-confessed sex addict Dr Tom Plimmer, 40, who appeared on Channel 4's First Dates in 2018, showed a colleague his homemade porn videos he had filmed in his Swindon practice's office.

A doctor who filmed himself having sex with women in his surgery while patients waited outside is facing the end of his career.

Self-confessed sex addict Dr Tom Plimmer, 40, who appeared on Channel 4’s First Dates in 2018, showed a colleague his homemade porn videos he had filmed in his Swindon practice’s office.

He then sent a nurse 197 photos and videos of him having sex with dozens of women after she was forced into a relationship with him.

Panel chair Claire Lindley ruled that Dr Plimmer’s fitness to practice is currently affected by misconduct.

The Medical Professionals Tribunal heard how Dr Plimmer invited two women he met on dating sites to return to the surgery for sex during working hours.

He had sex with at least six women in his practice and sent penis photos to his lovers while he waited for the next patient in the waiting room to arrive.

Giving evidence at the Medical Tribunal Service (MPTS) hearing in Manchester, she apologized to her former lovers and patients for her “disgusting” behaviour.

Dr Plimmer was previously found guilty of a series of allegations regarding his colleague, including walking with his pants unbuttoned, sending unsolicited videos and placing his hand on his erect penis.

He was also charged with another charge of committing sexual acts in the office.

The colleague had told the hearing that she began a “jovial” friendship with Dr Plimmer with playful “insinuations” about a chocolate rabbit.

But since March 2018, he confessed his sex addiction and shared around 5,000 phone messages with her.

One message said: ‘Can I tell you a secret? You’re my favorite.’

Dr Plimmer showed her 197 photographs and videos of himself having sex with other women, the Doctors’ Court heard.

Dr Plimmer was previously found guilty of a series of allegations regarding his colleague, including walking with his pants unbuttoned, sending unsolicited videos and placing his hand on his erect penis.

On one occasion, in January 2019, he took her to his office before placing his hand on her genitals.

Dr Plimmer later sent him photos of his bound head with messages saying he “couldn’t go on”.

The doctor told the hearing earlier this week that he had been “recovering” with the support of his long-term partner, taking medication and attending Sex Addicts Anonymous.

Dr Plimmer insisted he had never crossed any boundaries with patients and compared himself to tragic Friends actor Matthew Perry.

He said: ‘Matthew Perry was a drug addict but he would never take heroin. Why take all the drugs but not heroin?

Dr Plimmer said he knew sleeping with his patients would be “terminal” to his career.

Mark Monaghan, GMC, accepted that the doctor poses no risk to patients, but added: “Our concerns are primarily about confidence in the profession.”

Tom Day, representing Dr Plimmer, told the hearing: “I respectfully submit that he poses no risk to patients and that there is no impediment on that basis.” The risk of relapse is low.

“If I were to work, I would need conditions to support it.”

Panel chair Claire Lindley ruled that Dr Plimmer’s fitness to currently practice is impaired due to misconduct.

They have yet to make a decision on what sanctions to impose on Plimmer.

Between May 2018 and September 2019, he approached her during lunch breaks and stayed at the door, making it difficult for her to leave.

He also entered the room with his pants unbuttoned.

In September 2019, she is said to have threatened to tell her husband about the affair.

He suggested she commit suicide saying: ‘In Futurama they have suicide booths. Maybe that’s what you need, you should go and do it.’

Dr. Plimmer agreed that he sent the woman explicit videos and sexual behavior, but claimed it was “always consensual.”

He had faced 16 allegations relating to the colleague, including attempting to kiss her without consent, approaching her with his pants unbuttoned and showing her a video of him having sex with another woman while she was at work.

He denied two allegations that he penetrated the same colleague without consent, that he removed his genitals in front of her, that he closed a door, hit her arm and threatened to reveal information to her husband.

Those charges were not found to be proven.

Dr Plimmer had also engaged in sexual activity during the working hours of his surgery with Miss B in January 2020 and Miss C in May 2020.

He had admitted to sending unsolicited photographs of his penis, taken while he was at work, to another woman known as Miss E.

He also withdrew allegations that he pinned the woman, who is one of those who reported him to the GMC, to a bed and shouted words such as: ‘Don’t talk to anyone? ***** ****’.

The panel also found that his actions were sexually motivated.

Plimmer will face a sanction on a date to be determined.
