Chrishell Stause is set to appear in a reboot of the Australian soap opera Neighbors for Amazon Freevee.
‘I’m honored and excited to be joining such a beloved and iconic show!’ the actress-real estate agent, 42, said in a statement. “Coming from the world of soap operas in the United States, I return to my first love in the entertainment industry.”
She continued: “I was approached with an idea for a character, and I was immediately excited to find a way to make it happen. Ramsay Street, here I come!
The show said in a post on its Instagram account on Wednesday: “Chrishell Stause is coming to Ramsay Street” as she plays a new character called Yasmine Shields.
The show describes Shields as “a glamorous, successful businesswoman looking for an exciting new opportunity.”

Stause “will arrive on set in July,” the show said, adding that “fans can expect intrigue and surprises, and many implications for the residents of Ramsay Street.”
The show’s executive producer, Jason Herbison, said in a statement Wednesday, “We are thrilled to welcome Chrishell to the cast of Neighbors,” according to Variety.
He added: “We created a character especially for her and we can’t wait for her to bring the story to life.
“Expect intrigue and surprises, and many implications for the residents of Ramsay Street.”
Stause has extensive experience in the soap opera genre, having appeared on All My Children from 2005 to 2011, playing the role of Amanda Dillon.
He also appeared in 214 episodes of the series Days of Our Lives from 2013 to 2023, playing the role of Jordan Ridgeway.
Stause also appeared in 10 episodes of The Young and the Restless as Bethany Bryant in 2016.
Stause, a regular on Selling Sunset since 2019, exchanged vows with her spouse, Australian music artist G-Flip, 30, in 2022.
Stause said on Instagram Stories on Wednesday that she “can’t wait” to appear on the soap.

Neighbors initially aired in 1985 and was canceled in 2022 before Amazon Freevee revived it and put it back on the air last fall, earning its first US Daytime Emmy nominations.
The series was nominated for Best Daytime Drama Series, while actor Guy Pearce was nominated for Best Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series.
The stalwart series featured a number of rising stars early in their careers, including Margot Robbie and Russell Crowe, according to Amazon MGM Studios.
