Ruud van Nistelrooy arrives at Man United’s training ground as he prepares to start work on Erik ten Hag’s backroom staff with players due back for pre-season TODAY

Ruud van Nistelrooy has been pictured arriving at Manchester United’s training ground ahead of his appointment with Erik ten Hag’s coaching team.

The Red Devils legend is expected to be officially announced as one of Ten Hag’s new assistant coaches imminently and the players will return for pre-season today.

Van Nistelrooy will also be joined by Rene Hake after United poached him from his head coaching role at Go Ahead Eagles to support Ten Hag next season.
