American comedian Rob Schneider brutally criticized actor Will Smith in a scathing interview, calling the Hollywood star a “liar” and “imbecile.”
The 60-year-old actor and comedy legend appeared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning and didn’t hold back on the Oscar winner two years after he slapped Chris Rock onstage at the 94th Academy Awards.
When co-host Kyle Sandilands asked Schneider if he had contacted his close friend Rock, 59, after the incident, the comedian proceeded to unleash a five-minute rant at Smith, 55.
“Will Smith is an asshole,” he began. “Will Smith has been hiding the fact of who he really is and that night he was exposed that he really is an asshole.”
“But it’s a deep, dark thing to do that in front of all those people and in front of a really great legendary comedian (Chris Rock), who is literally the best comedian of our generation. You wouldn’t have this whole wave of comedy that came after if it weren’t for Chris Rock. He has kicked the doors open.

Schneider weighed in on the moment Smith stormed onstage after Rock made a joke about the actor’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
‘Will is an idiot. The point is that this is how politically correct the Academy is. That they were so cowards. Because if he had done that, they would have been jailed, but because they were so worried about being racist or whatever, they said… “We can’t offend,” he continued.

Schneider revealed that he did not attend or watch the ceremony and therefore did not witness the slap in real time.
The actor was directing a film in Mexico when he learned from his assistant director that his friend Rock had been attacked on stage.
“I was in a car and my assistant director looked at me and said, ‘Ugh.’ I said, ‘What happened?’ and she said, ‘Chris Rock just got slapped by Will Smith.’ I said, ‘Get out of here.’ here. It didn’t happen. “I made the phone calls and it happened,” she recalled.
‘(Rock) didn’t want to talk to anyone. I do not blame him. But it took a while to get to a point where he could react because it was a lot. And he’s a great, very sensitive guy and he’s literally a genius. And then I just tried to find the right way at the right time…because he would have said something. I’m an idiot, I would have… tried to fight back.
