Rita beamed as she gave onlookers a spin to show off the full outfit before hopping into a car.
The Met Gala will take place on May 6 and the theme is Sleeping Beauties: Fashion Awakening.

The 2024 Met Gala will be hosted by Challengers star Zendaya, along with music superstar Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Jennifer Lopez.
Her final fitting for the event was on Thursday and she rocked a stunning head-to-toe orange Burberry ensemble.
Accompanying her on this trip to New York was Rita’s director husband, Taika Waititi, with whom she went out to lunch on Friday.
Met Gala arrives as Rita continues to enjoy on the success of its new Typebea line which launched in Sydney in April.
Rita followed in Beyoncé’s footsteps to launch the hair line with Australian hair expert Anna Lahey.
TYPEBEA products include their standard shampoo and conditioner, but also “night boost peptide” and “hydraulic shine treatment.”
Rita announced the hair line on April 2, but didn’t confirm its launch date until April 7, revealing that it took three years to develop.

Rita smiled as she turned around in the belted coat with slightly overlong sleeves and showed off her big gold earrings.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘I’m so excited to finally announce a big passion of mine, @TYPEBEA, high-performance hair care for all hair types that I created with @anna.lahey.
‘The relationship we have with our hair is very personal. For me it is a big part of my identity, creativity and confidence. Throughout my career I have had almost every color and style of hair.
‘My hair has been bleached, I’ve had extensions, I’ve cut it. But now I can say that my hair is healthier than ever. I can’t wait to share this with you!’
It comes after Beyoncé launched Cécred in February in honor of her mother Tina, who was a hairdresser.
