Richard Branson has shared a photo of his injuries after hitting a pothole and flying off his bike on Virgin Gorda.
The billionaire Virgin founder said he “crashed hard” in the bike accident, but said he fortunately managed to avoid breaking any bones.
Daredevil Branson posted a picture of the aftermath on Instagram and wrote: ‘He took a pretty big fall while riding his bike on Virgin Gorda a while ago!
“I hit a pothole and crashed hard, resulting in another bruise on my hip and a nasty cut on my elbow, but surprisingly nothing broken.
‘We were cycling with Alex Wilson, who fell behind me, but luckily he was okay too.

‘I consider myself very lucky and grateful to stay active and healthy.
‘After all, the brave may not live forever, but the cautious don’t live at all!’
More than a thousand followers sent him messages of support after yesterday’s publication on social networks.
His followers described him as “brave” and “amazing” as some warned him to be careful and sent him wishes for a speedy recovery.
