Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has given his opinion on the club’s decision to keep manager Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman was believed to be facing the sack at Old Trafford ahead of United’s FA Cup final win over derby rivals Manchester City, with the Red Devils due to carry out a performance review at the end of the season.
United held talks with other managers but it was ultimately decided that Ten Hag would stay and the 54-year-old is now on the verge of signing a new contract.
Speaking to journalist Florian Plettenberg after Denmark’s elimination from Euro 2024, Hojlund said:I am very happy (that Ten Hag is staying), he is a very good coach.
“I enjoyed working with him this year and look forward to many more.”

Ten Hag lobbied United to sign Hojlund last summer and the club agreed a £72m fee with Atalanta for his services.
The 21-year-old scored 16 goals in 43 appearances in his debut campaign but struggled for long periods.
Looking ahead to the new season, Hojlund said: “I want to be even better and score even more goals, hopefully we can win another trophy.”
United are reportedly “seriously considering” signing Matthijs de Ligt this summer and Hojlund was asked about the potential transfer.
He said: “That has nothing to do with me, I can’t answer that question, but he is a good defender.”
