Prince Harry’s fight against the UK Home Office indicates he is interested in returning to the UK or making surprise visits whenever he wishes, a royal expert has claimed.
Speaking on The Royal Record podcast, GB NewsRoyal Household correspondent Cameron Walker and digital editor Svar Nanan-Sen spoke about the Duke of Sussex’s ongoing legal battle in his home country. “Prince Harry still has an ongoing legal battle with the Home Office over its decisions to change the level of his police protection when he retired as a working member of the Royal Family, and has been granted permission to appeal the decision.” Svar said.
“You can see how passionate Harry is about it and how important it is to him,” he added. “It’s clearly something they’re very concerned about.” He stated: “And I also don’t think Harry would be doing this if he and his family weren’t planning to come to the UK more regularly. He clearly considers it an important thing to be able to bring his family.”
Agreeing with Svar, Cameron adds: “Well, that’s the crux of the matter, because Harry’s case is that he doesn’t feel safe. He does not feel that his family are safe when they are in the UK because they do not have police protection officers from the Metropolitan Police with him.” “So maybe that’s the main reason Why doesn’t Prince Harry bring Meghan, Archie and Lilibet to the UK because he can’t guarantee, I would say he can’t guarantee their safety?
They said the duke is determined to regain taxpayer-funded protection because he wants to bring his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK. Walker explained: “Prince Harry’s persistent attitude efforts to ensure police protection “Visits to the UK suggest a strong desire to return or at least visit frequently. The legal fight underscores the importance he places on the safety of his family while in the country.”
Nanan-Sen added: “It is clear that Harry is not only fighting for himself but also for Meghan, Archie and Lilibet. He wants to ensure they have the same level of security that he once had, which is crucial for his visits to the UK.”
