A plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Sydney Airport after an emergency report was received of a fuel leak mid-flight.
The United Parcel Service (UPS) plane, which had three people on board, was forced to return to the airport at around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The fuel leak was reported less than two hours after UPS152 departed Sydney for Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in China at 7:36 p.m.
A spokesperson for Fire and Rescue NSW told Newswire that fire trucks had been deployed to the runway and were ready and waiting for the aircraft.
The plane appears to have just crossed the New South Wales border into Queensland when the emergency report was issued and the pilots turned around.
