Phoebe Burgess has spoken openly about her split from ex-husband Sam Burgess.
The 35-year-old influencer and NRL star split in 2019, and Phoebe says she has since focused on the former couple’s two children – daughter Poppy, seven, and son Billy, five.
“I think I’ve created an environment where my kids are the answer, if that makes sense,” he said. Nine honey on Sunday.
“If something feels particularly difficult mentally, or is traumatic or painful, we have these things that we turn to.”
Phoebe says she moved to her sprawling property in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales to give her children a “grounded” feel.
“I want them to know and feel every day that they are the most important thing on my list, that they are Mom’s priority and her number one,” she says.
Phoebe previously said that her two children saved her from despair during the breakup.
“That was the only solid thing I was holding on to. That was it. They needed me,” Phoebe said in the emotional final episode of her Under the shine podcast.

Phoebe, who split from the controversial Rabbitohs star for the second and final time in October 2019, continued: “So I had to stay here (for the kids).
“What gets you off the ground is that you are needed,” he said.
Sam and Phoebe They married in 2015, separated in late 2018 and resumed their relationship in early 2019.
They separated definitively on October 2 of that year and later divorced.
Phoebe revealed intimate details of the split on her podcast during an emotional chat with Sky News journalist Jacinta Tynan, who is a single mother of two.

“I think I’ve created an environment where my kids are the answer, if that makes sense,” he said.
The blonde beauty shared with Jacinta that once the breakup with Sam happened, she wasn’t sure what was “next” for the family.
“If we look at it from a practical point of view, our four- and six-year-olds need us to get up off the floor because they need to eat breakfast, they need uniforms and they need to go to school,” she said.
‘And I think preserving the innocence and simplicity of their little routines, their little expectations and what they know Mom provides for them, for me, that was my lifeline.
‘That was the only solid thing I had to hold on to. That was it. They needed me.
“So I had to stay here, I had to get up and do it all again, and everything else is just noise.”
Meanwhile, Sam moved on with fashion designer Lucy Graham and the engaged couple welcomed their first child together in September.
