“It affects the father, but for the woman carrying that child it is more serious. No matter how much it hurts Tyson, it’s ten times worse for me. But while I had time to process the idea, it took him days to come to grips with the funeral. He said, “I can’t do it now,” he said.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time Paris has suffered a miscarriage without telling Tyson for fear of upsetting him before a fight.

Four years ago, she admitted to keeping her 2018 miscarriage a secret from her husband because she was due to make her long-awaited return to the boxing ring after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus.

During an appearance on This Morning, Paris recalled how she sat “crying alone” in her car after finding out and had to “grin and bear it” because she felt she had to “keep it all together” before Tyson’s big comeback fight. .

She told then-presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: “It started a couple of days before a fight and it was too early for him to get back in the ring and it was early but I had to keep it to myself…

“I had to grin and bear it, I had to sit alone in the car, crying alone… I’m trying to stay calm because I’m the glue of the home,” she continued.

Paris found out about her miscarriage the same day Tyson made his long-awaited return after three years out of the ring against Sefer Seferi in June 2018, but she didn’t tell her husband until he raised his hand.

Four years before her miscarriage, Paris gave birth to a stillborn baby in 2014, when she was five months pregnant, and has said “it’s something I’ll never get over.”
