The updated line-up for the Pandemonium Rocks festival has been announced and several headline acts have been removed from upcoming shows.
The festival’s social media page shared a statement Saturday revealing that legendary rock band Deep Purple and punk superstars Dead Kennedys have been removed from the lineup.
“Despite recent press reports that Pandemonium would be cancelled, we, Alice Cooper and Blondie, have worked closely to make this happen,” it began.
‘We are excited to come to Australia from April 20 to 28, although there have had to be some changes.
‘The festival will now feature Alice Cooper, Blondie, The Psychedelic Furs, Wheatus and Wolfmother, all on a big stage in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast.

“The Sunshine Coast show is moving to Brisbane and Blondie won’t be on that show.”
Many heartbroken fans quickly took to social media to express their disappointment at not being able to see their favorite bands in person, despite paying full price of up to $285 for a ticket.
‘So the Deep Purple and Dead Kennedy cut. Will we get money back for that?’ asked an upset fan.
‘This has been something monumental on the part of the promoter. The move to Eatons Hill is a joke. “A lot of people booked accommodation,” criticized a second person.

Last month, the new rock festival was hit by cancellation reports, after a string of Australian festivals were cancelled, but organizers confirmed it will go ahead.
They told fans they would be going ahead with “some changes” and have now confirmed exactly what modifications will be made to the music event.
In a statement, organizers revealed that Pandemonium Rocks will take place on a smaller scale, becoming a single-stage event instead of taking place over two stages.
The festival, which will tour Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast later this month, has faced a number of challenges since announcing its lineup in January.
Earlier this year, the festival sparked some controversy when it was scheduled to clash with Sydney’s traditional Anzac Day parade.
