The mother of three girls who were stabbed along with their friend while watching a movie at a Boston theater said the man “laughed the whole time.”
The suspect, Jared Ravizza, 26, stabbed four girls, ages 9 to 17, at an AMC multiplex in Braintree, Massachusetts, around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Ravizza, dressed in a blonde wig, entered the theater without paying and attacked the girls without provocation, without saying a word.
Lisa Dembowski said her three daughters and her friend were the only ones inside the theater when he attacked them.
“My oldest daughter was bending down to pick something up, he put her behind him, and then my other daughter on his upper chest, and then my last daughter on his arm, laughing the whole time, and then he grabbed his friend, and then he ran out,” Dembowski said NBC Boston.

After receiving a call from his sister, he ran to the movie theater and immediately saw his children while his friend was already taken to the hospital. All suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
‘The cinema was still open and people were like buying tickets and it was like, I don’t know. For me it was crazy that this kept happening,” recalls the mother.
A witness at the scene, Matteo Rojas, told CBS: “It’s so heartbreaking that I will think about the rest of the night watching those kids come down the stairs and just cry.” “They looked really stunned, like they had just watched a horror movie, not a children’s movie.”
After fleeing the movie theater, Ravizza went to a Route 3 rest area in Plymouth, where he allegedly stabbed two McDonald’s employees around 7 p.m.
According to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, Ravizza rolled out the car window and stabbed a 28-year-old man.
When he arrived at the theater, he immediately saw his children while his friend was already taken to the hospital. All suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
He reportedly parked his black Porsche in the parking lot and ran inside, where he stabbed a 21-year-old woman before fleeing the scene.
The man was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess-Plymouth Hospital and the woman to South Shore Hospital. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
After reviewing surveillance footage, police released a description of the suspect’s car. They located him in Sandwich, but after he failed to stop, Ravizza led police on a car chase that ended in a car accident.
He was arrested around 7:15 p.m. and taken into custody. Ravizza was also taken to South Shore Hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said Ravizza could be connected to a death investigation in Deep River, Connecticut, NBC10 Boston reported.
The mother of three is relieved that Ravizza has been found and detained.
“I think he’s a pretty sick person to hurt children,” Dembowski said. ‘I hope she gets what she deserves.’
Authorities located Ravizza in Sandwich, but after he failed to stop, he led police on a car chase that ended in a car accident.
He said his daughters are recovering and that the oldest is the one who has taken the incident the hardest.
“My oldest is very protective of them and is generally more worried about them and how they will do.”
She called her eldest daughter and her friends heroes to protect and calm her younger daughters and call the police for help.
A spokesperson told NBC10 Boston: “We are saddened by this senseless act of violence,” the AMC spokesperson said.
“We are encouraged to know that the victims are recovering and we are communicating with their families privately.”
