Martha Stewart confessed that she cheated on her ex-husband Andrew Stewart during their marriage.
The housekeeping expert, 83, revealed she was not faithful during their 29-year union in the spectacular trailer for her upcoming Netflix documentary, Martha.
At one point in the clip, Martha, who was married to Stewart from 1961 until their divorce in 1990, was giving advice to married women who had been cheated on, before a producer criticized her for being unfaithful.
‘Young women, listen to my advice, if you’re married and your husband starts cheating on you, he’s a piece of s**t. Get out of that marriage,’ the television personality said.
‘Didn’t you have an affair from the beginning?’ The producer joked, to which Martha responded, ‘Yeah, but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that.’

Martha began dating Andy, who has been her only husband to date, when she was just 19 and he was 23, after they set up a blind date.
At the time he was a law student at Yale. He then moved into publishing and is currently editor emeritus of Fieldstone Publishing, a nature publisher.
The couple was married for nearly three decades after saying “I do” in 1961.
They welcomed a daughter, Alexis Stewart, now 59, in 1965.
The couple finally divorced in 1990.
After their divorce, Martha briefly dated Silence of the Lambs star Anthony Hopkins. She also dated software architect Charles Simonyi on and off for 15 years, from 1993 to 2008.
In 2023, Martha told E! News that she was single.
After their divorce, Andy married Martha’s former assistant, Robyn Fairclough, who was 21 years his junior. They have since divorced and he remarried Shyla Nelson Stewart.
In 2022, Martha called her divorce “terrible” in an interview with People.
“Getting divorced was a terrible thing for me, because we were the first to get divorced in my family,” she shared.

The upcoming documentary follows the lifestyle icon from her teenage years, when she worked as a model, to becoming the first self-made female billionaire in the United States, according to the netflix Press release.
The film also “illuminates Stewart’s upbringing in a working-class family and forces us to reconsider the scandal that sent her to prison.”
The trailer begins with Martha asking, “What does it feel like to be the first self-made female billionaire in American history?” His only response is a long laugh.
“I’m strict and demanding and I have all those good things that make a person successful,” she said in a voiceover.
Elsewhere in the documentary trailer, he talks about his stay in a federal prison.

The star spent five months in prison in 2004 after she was found guilty of charges including conspiracy and obstruction of justice related to the stock sale.

In September, Stewart notably criticized the film as “lazy” while at the Retail Influencer 2024 CEO Forum, according to The Daily Beast.
‘I try not to talk publicly about things I don’t like, (since) it’s not good business,’ he said at the time, and later, referring to the doctor, he added: ‘I can talk a little bit badly about that.’
The star expressed that she felt it was “so unfair” that a large portion of the film focused on her “stupid trial.”
Martha said she “had a collaboration deal” with filmmaker RJ Cutler, stating, “We were going to be collaborators and then he did the final edit.”
The upcoming documentary, premiering on Netflix on October 30, follows Martha from her teenage years until she became the first self-made female billionaire in the United States.
She said she wanted changes to be made to the second half of the film, but Cutler “wouldn’t change anything.”
Stewart further explained that the second part of the documentary “does not mention all of my collaborations.”
“For them to not even have a part in this, I don’t think it’s fair in a story of my life.” “That’s what really made me me,” the star added.
The documentary will premiere on Netflix on October 30.
