Former Married At First Sight star Bella Frizza has announced she is leaving a decade-long radio career to take on a surprising new role.
The 39-year-old Sea FM presenter took to Instagram to reveal she was leaving her full-time radio job to become a “professional network marketer” for haircare company Monat.
Monat, or Monat Global Corp, is a US-based company headquartered in Doral, Florida.
The company operates under the controversial multi-level marketing business model, which relies on marketing partners who sell and advertise products online and on social media.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Bella said her decision was based on a desire to spend more time watching her two-year-old son Finn grow up.
“I think I just realized that I wanted to spend time with him before he goes to school,” she said.
‘I was looking to see what kind of work I could do and I came across Monat.’
Bella added that she was attracted by the lifestyle and benefits the company promises.

“I loved it all,” she said. “You can win a Range Rover, you can win trips abroad… it’s very glamorous.”
“I thought I’d give it a go and see how far I could go. And I’m doing really well, I have a wonderful team working with me and I love it.”
Bella said she didn’t think her career change was controversial, despite the company’s business model.
“I don’t really think it’s controversial,” he said.
“I mean, there have been other companies in the past that have been in the network marketing sphere that have been controversial, but Monat itself is an incredible business model, especially for moms and women who want to be at home with their kids,” she said.

“I don’t see anything controversial at all,” he added. “I just think it’s a really good thing and an opportunity to have an uncapped salary.”
Bella said that while she felt revitalized after the career change, she did not rule out an eventual return to television or radio.
“I love it and you know, never say never,” she said. “I’ll probably go back one day because I’m a media junkie.”
Bella, who appeared on Season 3 of Married at First Sight, announced her career change alongside a sweet video of her playing with little Finn on a bed.
“Being able to tell my baby that I don’t have to go to work anymore. We don’t have to wake up at 5:30, rush out to drop him off at preschool, then wait 45 minutes in traffic to get to work and miss him all day,” she wrote in the heartfelt post.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Bella said her decision was based on a desire to spend more time watching her two-year-old son Finn grow up.
“Now we can wake up, have peaceful mornings, go for a walk in the sunshine, talk about our dreams and create magic together. All while making money from my phone.”
Before encouraging her fans to join the Monat movement, she went on to say that she wants to help give moms across the country the opportunity to work and spend more time at home with their children.
“I know why I’ve been called to do this now, so I can help all the moms be home with their little ones, to enjoy the best days of our lives watching our babies grow,” Bella said.
“Whatever you’re doing can wait, this time with our babies. Time is passing and with every passing minute they grow bigger and bigger.”
Bella concluded by saying that having children had forced her to reevaluate her priorities in life.
“When I became a mother, my values changed and my career went from being the most important thing to being the family,” she said.
Bella said she didn’t think her career change was controversial, despite the business model the company employs.
Another post announcing Bella’s departure from the airwaves revealed she was “terrified” at the prospect of a career change.
“I’m scared. I’m excited. I’m happy. I’m sad,” she wrote.
“I am scared, but above all I know that I am doing the right thing for myself and my family.”
The post was met with an avalanche of comments from fans, with many commenting in shock at the announcement.
“Nooooooo, Bella! But I’m proud of you,” wrote one fan.
‘You’ll have to keep sending me voice messages so I can fill the void of not hearing your voice on the air!’
Another chimed in with something similar: “We will miss hearing you live so much Bella. I loved hearing your voice when I was in the car, it was like a breath of fresh air when you were on air.”
“The radio station has really lost another fine presenter, making it three this year, what a shame. Can’t wait to see your next chapter, darling.”
Bella appeared on the second season of Married At First Sight, where she was paired with accessories designer Michael Hughes.
