Married At First Sight expert John Aiken has given his final opinion on the season 11 couples ahead of their planned reunion on Sunday night.
The former cricketer, 53, appeared on Today to reveal which couples he was surprised stayed together during their final vows last week.
With four couples leaving the show hand in hand, John said he was stunned to see Sara Mesa and Tim Calwell hold on until the end.
‘I was very surprised with Sara and Tim because she went behind their backs. “I ran into the ex who she had feelings for,” she said.
John went on to say that he believed Tim was “too lenient” with his actions and revealed that he didn’t believe Sara could change her behavior and recognize his betrayal.

‘She really did the heavy lifting, put him first and fixed him. I thought that was the most surprising part of the experiment,” she added.
The other couple that John believed would not make it to Final Vows was the controversial couple Tori Adams and Jack Dunkley.
“He was one of the guys who said some things that absolutely stunned, not just the group, but the experts,” he said, referring to the “gagging your wife” comments.

John revealed that all the experts expected Tori to abandon the experiment because Jack was “too toxic”, but were surprised to see her “defend” him every week.
It comes just hours after it was reported that the MAFS stars are in trouble with Channel Nine after enjoying a drunken night out in Sydney after filming the reunion.
Despite producers reportedly not wanting the cast to attend ‘reunions’ before the show’s final results were aired, Daily Mail Australia can reveal that a group of the show’s girlfriends and boyfriends came out to celebrate Michael Felix’s birthday.

Present were Lucinda Light, Cassandra Allen, Timothy Smith, Tristan Black, Eden Harper, Andrea Thompson, Stephen Stewart, Jade Pywell, Ash Galati and Natalie Parham.
Jonathan McCullough and fellow girlfriend Ellie Dix also appeared.
There was no tension between Ellie and her jilted ex Ben, as they laughed about their ill-fated romance while he introduced his new German girlfriend, Aileen, to the cast.
Sydney producers had placed the cast in different hotels so as not to ruin the finale before the reunion which will air on April 7 and 8 on Channel Nine.
