Marcus Rashford has delivered a worrying message to fans on social media, revealing he has endured “months of abuse”, with Man United fans placing some of the blame on YouTuber Mark Goldbridge.

The 26-year-old striker has had a difficult season on the pitch, failing to match the achievements of his 30 goals during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring eight goals so far in all competitions this season.

Goldbridge runs a fan channel called The United Stand, which has 1.85 million subscribers on YouTube. He has recently posted several videos in which he criticizes the England star, notably once referring to Rashford as “as useful as a rubbish bin without wheels”.

On Thursday night, Rashford responded to a post on

The 26-year-old responded by stating that he was tired of the abuse he had received in recent months. ‘I appreciate your support! He is abusive and he has been for months. “Enough is enough,” Rashford said in X.

As a team, Erik ten Hag’s side have endured a difficult season, crashing out of the Champions League and dropping to sixth in the Premier League standings, with several United stars recently coming under heavy scrutiny for their performances by some former professionals and experts.

Last Sunday, United managed to reach the FA Cup final after beating Championship side Coventry City on penalties, despite losing a three-goal lead in the match.

Goldbridge posted a video on his YouTube channel reflecting on the match in which he claims Ten Hag left Rashford on the pitch for too long. He said: “Leaving Rashford, he’s about as useful as a rubbish bin without wheels.”

In a separate video after the semi-final, he added: “Why do they keep picking him (Rashford)? Why isn’t he changing and when is he going to change? I’ve run out of excuses, I don’t know what to say. I shouldn’t play in the Manchester United at the moment. It’s embarrassing.’

And he added: “What I want to know is if it is in his contract (to continue as a starter).”

One fan took to X to comment on the video, saying: “How did Mark Goldbridge manage to give United a 3-0 lead over Coventry at Rashford?”

Another seemed to echo the same sentiment, writing: “It’s in Rashford’s contract to start every game, according to Mark Goldbridge.” Statements like this are very toxic.”

United recovered from losing a goal to Sheffield United on Wednesday to seal a 4-2 victory, and Goldbrige posted another video online criticizing Rashford’s influence on the team.

Goldbridge questioned whether United are getting enough shots on goal when Rashford is on the pitch.

‘Do we do that when Rashford is in the team? “I don’t know, because it’s Sheffield United, that’s the honest answer,” he said.

‘But tell me, do we do that regularly? We don’t, we don’t. We don’t usually have 12 shots on goal and 90 percent passing accuracy. “We don’t do that regularly.”

Another user wrote on

“Mark Goldbridge is carrying out a well-thought-out campaign of hate and it must be stopped.”

The YouTuber has previously launched some explosive rants online, recently calling their late 4-3 defeat to Chelsea an “injustice.”

Former Man United defender Paul Parker also criticized Goldbrige last year, claiming the YouTuber had been the cause of some “problems” at the club.

Parker told BonusCodeBets: “I don’t like what Mark Goldbridge is doing.”

‘It’s a problem. Everyone has to make a living, but you have to be very, very callous to make money doing something you don’t like.

“He has no relationship with Man United, he’s a Nottingham Forest fan. It’s actually an incredible skill to do that… Make money from something you don’t like.

“He is attacking the club, the manager and the owners of a football club that you don’t even love. He has no internal feeling with the club and it is a scary but incredible feeling to have to be so involved in a club that you don’t support.
