Markets manager Mark Eymes has revealed all about the “embarrassing” moment global superstar Pink was refused entry to an Australian club.
Pink, 48, was turned away at the Manly Skiff Club on Monday night for not having any identification.
Speaking to host Allison, he said: “I was surprised and a little disappointed, I just thought there must be a way to fix this and bring her inside and have a nice dinner with all of us.”
‘I don’t know what they were thinking, I can’t say I’m a fan – now I am because she’s such a lovely person as I realized – I saw her, I realized it was her! “I couldn’t understand why she seemed like no one else in the club realized who she was,” she said.
Mark explained how he had first bumped into the singer on the road, before witnessing the awkward encounter while queuing to get to the venue, where he visits every week.
He said: “I met her on the street, about 100 meters from the club.” And I was walking behind her and I thought, “Oh, she looks familiar.”
And then he politely turned around and said, “Oh, look, guys, I’m sorry, we’re walking too slow, please go around us.”
“And we were like, ‘oh wow, it’s Pink,’ and then we got to the club and I heard her say, ‘we have a reservation for 15 people, we’re here to take our reservation,’ and they said, ‘Oh, do you have ID?”

“Then the ID thing started right away and she said, ‘No, no, I don’t have ID.’ She said, ‘I have this reservation, I paid a 50 percent deposit.’
He revealed that he attempted to present his own membership card in an attempt to get Pink into the venue, but claimed that staff were not changing the identification rule.
He continued: ‘I heard what was happening, so I jumped over to their row, grabbed my membership card and started waving it. I told him “look, I’ll sign them, here’s my card and let’s go.” They just immediately said, “no, she has to have her own ID.”
Despite the awkward mix-up, Mark insisted that Pink was “super cool” about it, cheekily adding that he was able to sit at her previously reserved 15-person table when she couldn’t get in.
‘She was super cool with everything, you know, a little frustrated like you or I would be. But no, she was amazing. She’s a great lady, so I’d like to say that I’m her fan now,” she said.
‘We didn’t have a reservation so we were walking and it said there was a table for 15 people, so we sat down, there were six of us.
“Then some other Manly locals we knew were wandering around looking for a table and we said, ‘Please join us, this table isn’t going to be used.’ Thanks Pink, that was very kind of you. I hope you got your seat back though.” deposit.
