A man who killed himself at a casino in Reno, Nevada, has been linked to the murder of a woman in California, according to authorities. “Cathy was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and best friend,” Marisela Aceves wrote in the GoFundMe Page“She was a happy, spiritual, soulful woman who was a guiding light to all who had the pleasure of having her in their lives.” As of Thursday, Sept. 5, the fundraiser had raised more than $21,000.
Police have said the circumstances leading up to the deaths are still under investigation. However, they added: “At this time, there are no other suspects believed to be involved and there is no current threat to the public.”
