Love Is Blind’s Jeramey Lutinski has fiercely denied claims he was engaged and living with a fiancée while in talks to appear on the Netflix dating show, insisting he was single and living alone.
Earlier this week, his ex Brittani Mcliverty’s mother alleged on Facebook that he was still in a relationship with her daughter while ‘applying’ for the current season.
Accompanying her claim was a photo of Jeramey, 32, and Brittani looking loved up as they smiled in front of a Christmas tree, along with Brittani’s son.
However, in a video posted to his Instagram page on Friday, Jeramey insisted he had been single “for several weeks” when casting producers approached him on social media.
Jeramey Lutinski has denied claims he was engaged and living with a fiancée when he was approached for Love Is Blind.
Speculation about their previous relationship was rife after his ex’s mother claimed he was living with her daughter when she “requested” the Netflix show.
He also maintained that he had spoken at length about his former partner on the show, claiming that these scenes were conveniently cut from the final edit.
Jeramey said: “So I want to quickly address the story going around about my engagement prior to Love Is Blind.”
‘One, anyone I went on dates with, my co-stars and in multiple interviews, this topic was discussed. Nobody is surprised by this. It is something that is well documented.
“Unfortunately, with all the footage that is captured, not everything makes it into the final cut, it just didn’t make it there.”
Jeramy continued: ‘Secondly, I didn’t apply for this while I was living with someone else. I was living alone and didn’t look for this. In fact, they contacted me through Instagram.
“At that point I had already been alone for several weeks and they asked me if I would like to have a conversation about it and I said yes, why not.”
“And obviously it ended up leading to the show at some point.”
Jeramey continued to double down in the accompanying caption.
In a video posted to his Instagram page, Jeramey said: “I didn’t apply for this while I was living with someone else.”
He also uploaded ‘evidence’ that Love Is Blind casting producers had approached him, rather than applying for the show himself.
“This whole process hadn’t even started until I was out and alone,” he said.
‘Also, yes, my house sold a week or two before filming. Listed in October or November, sold in March. I didn’t live in it while it was listed.
“I don’t know if anyone else was trying to sell a place at that specific time, but it wasn’t a short process.”
And he concluded: “I’m not going to pay more attention to this.”
In addition to the video, Jeramey uploaded a screenshot of a conversation with a Love Is Blind casting associate producer that took place over Instagram.
Jeramey’s public rebuttal came just hours after he was forced to take a stand against the “over the top” trolling of this season’s contestants.
“The amount of hate that I and other castmates have received is exaggerated,” he wrote in a statement posted to his Instagram profile.
‘We all had the courage to put ourselves before the public to see an experiment unfold.
‘For you it’s entertainment, for us it was part of life at an accelerated pace.
‘Unfortunately for the world, filming 8 to 10 hours a day is not enough. Next time, we will recommend having cameras connected 24/7. We’ll make sure everyone is perfect every moment and nothing but dull, boring moments happen.’
Jeramey was among the singles who appeared on the sixth season of Love Is Blind
On the show, Jeramey found love with Laura in the pods, but they ended up breaking up before reaching the altar.
He continued: ‘While everyone is entitled to their opinions, it’s fucking crazy to make assumptions about everyone without 1) knowing each other 2) being involved in some way 3) not being a part of the other THOUSANDS of hours of footage being captured. ‘
Jeramey concluded: ‘Everyone will have the opportunity to speak when the time is right. Until then, we all understand.”
Jeramey was one of 15 singles looking for love on the sixth season of the hit dating show in which singles “date” in isolated groups without seeing each other face to face.
During his time on the show, Jeramey, who works in intralogistics, forged a connection with Laura and Sarah Ann in the groups, but ultimately decided to pursue a romance with the former.
But, after their engagement and subsequent honeymoon, cracks began to appear between them.
However, the final nail in the coffin was when Jeramey ended up hanging out with his ex Sarah Ann until 5am, even though the bars closed at 2am.
