Blake then entered the set in a custom-made Lego cart and asked the crew to take a short break while he introduced them to authentic Australian blue food.

‘We wouldn’t be the host nation we are unless we showed them the correct way to combine sausages and bread, which is a sausage sizzle. Can I offer you an Australian sausage? the he started he.

‘This is the closest thing we have to a national cuisine: a sausage in bread with sauce. Welcome to Australia.’

Although the team initially told Blake that they enjoyed the food, they later confessed that they thought it was lacking compared to the food in their home country.

‘When you see the European hot dog, it’s like there’s a lot going on there: pickles, onions, good bread. The Australian hot dog is a little sad,” admitted German contestant Felix.
