Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky appear to be moving forward despite their split, but their mounting financial troubles are keeping them entangled for now.
Documents obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com on Friday show the California State Franchise Tax Board issued a tax lien to the former spouses on June 25, 2024, for owing $6,542.50 in taxes for the year 2022.
The tax lien included the address of the former couple’s marital home: their seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion in Encino, which they purchased in 2017 for $8.2 million.
In March, reports surfaced that Mauricio had moved out of the house and into a luxury condo in West Hollywood as the estranged couple continued to work out the details of their split.
While a $6,500 lien may not be much for Kyle and Mauricio given their net worth, The Agency co-founder is still owed a total of $31,464.50 in unpaid taxes for tax years 2022 and 2023.

The multiple state tax liens, issued to UMRO Realty Corp/The Agency in the care of Mauricio, were for its various offices in Calabasas, Marina Del Rey, Pasadena, Beverly Hills and Sherman Oaks.
On December 20, 2023, the Agency received three liens in the amounts of $4,673.64, $3,878.19, and $290.15.
Prior to this, the Agency had received four liens on December 14, 2022 in the amounts of $16,777.97, $3,454.41, $2,120.67, and $269.47.
Previously, Kyle and Mauricio had a state tax lien of $13,707.47 assessed in April 2022 for the 2020 tax year, but the lien was released after they paid it in July 2022.
The mounting financial woes come after Kyle revealed that while managing money matters after a breakup can be challenging, it’s not his main concern.
“It’s very clear, everything is half-hearted, it doesn’t matter. For me that’s not a problem,” he said. Jeff Lewis from SiriusXM Live.
She added: “We didn’t have a prenuptial agreement. My husband didn’t have a penny when I married him. My mother lent us money when we first got married.”

The couple’s friendship has been in the news ever since Kyle announced her split from husband Umansky.
Romance rumors between Kyle and Morgan hit an all-time high in August after Kyle joined Morgan in her music video for her single Fall In Love With Me, which featured the two women pining for each other and culminating in a passionate kiss between them.
