A KFC staff member was captured standing at a kitchen table, without shoes, cleaning equipment.

The photograph was taken at a KFC in Queensland by a customer who expressed concern about the store’s hygiene practices.

As reported by 7News, the staff member was seen standing at the counter without shoes and cleaning the kitchen equipment, which appears to be full of chicken.

A KFC spokesperson confirmed that the employee did not follow hygiene practices in line with the fast food chain’s standards.

The spokesperson confirmed that KFC would launch an investigation into the store.

“KFC is committed to ensuring our food preparation and hygiene processes meet and exceed Australian standards, including Australian workplace health and safety requirements, to keep our customers and employees safe,” the spokesperson said.

‘We expect all restaurants to meet these standards and are investigating the incident with the franchisee and management team.

“Steps will be taken to ensure our high standards are met in the future.”
