Kerry Katona has slammed Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward for “cutting off contact” with her daughter Mia after she created a racy OnlyFans account.
Model Mia, 19, is the daughter of the soap star, 38, and claimed over the weekend that she has become estranged from her family after falling out over her racy photo shoots for the subscription site.
Kerry, who charges users $24.99 to access her account, claims to have made more than £1m on OnlyFans and insisted she feels “empowered” by the site.
Speaking about Sammy’s actions, the former Atomic Kitten singer called the drama “very sad” and said there was “no shame” in the site.
She said OK! Magazine“I think it’s very sad. Losing your relationship with your daughter is not worth it, and as an actress, you’d think she’d have a better understanding of the industry.”

Kerry added: “There’s nothing wrong with using OnlyFans. Don’t get me wrong, I’d be furious if any of my kids started doing it.”
“I would be furious, but at the end of the day they are my babies and I could never stop having contact with them. It’s not worth it.”
She has daughters Molly, 22, and Lilly, 20, with ex-husband Brian McFadden, to whom she was married from 2002 to 2006.
Kerry is also mum to daughters Heidi, 17, and Max, 15, with ex-husband Mark Croft and DJ, eight years old, from her relationship with the late George Kay.
Mia earns up to £30,000 a month from selling racy images and videos but has not spoken to her Emmerdale star mum “for months” over her choice.
She recently said that the couple had a fight on OnlyFans four months ago and that they have alienated her from her mother and the rest of the family.
Sammy played Katie Sugden in the rural soap for 14 years before leaving in 2015.
Speaking about the aftermath, Mia said: The sun:She said some pretty bad things the last time we talked, it was horrible.
“But I love my mother very much, I love my whole family, but none of them talk to me now.”
Mia started an OnlyFans account earlier this year after talking to friends who were on the site.
Kerry, who charges users $24.99 to access her account, has claimed to have made more than £1m on OnlyFans and insisted she feels “empowered” by the site.
She said: “I feel very empowered on OnlyFans. I am my own boss and I am confident in myself and what I do.”
Since being on the adult site, Mia admitted she makes ten times more money than before for “about three days of work.”
The model added that her days consist of filming content, uploading it to the site and filling out forms.
Despite making a lot of money and setting up her own business, Mia admitted her family are not impressed and her father, former Blackburn footballer David Dunn, has also distanced himself from her.
Mia went on to say that she appreciates her family and can see how protective they are, but she hopes there will come a day in the future when they “move on” and “rebuild” the relationship.
She concluded that she doesn’t see OnlyFans as a long-term career plan, but for now it’s helping her earn enough money to get into the real estate business.
In 2021 she appeared on ITV’s Loose Women alongside her mother and revealed she hoped to be an actress, like her famous father.
At the time the show aired, Sammy confirmed that she had her daughter when she was just 19 years old.
Speaking via video link, she said: ‘I always thought, ‘Oh my God, I’ll only be 36/37 when she’s 18’ and I’m almost there now and it’s crazy because we really do feel like best friends.
“Obviously there is the mother-daughter relationship, but we are more like best friends.”
