Kathy Bates revealed that she was “crying” while dressing for the 2024 Emmys, which took place on September 15.

Bates said that “the photographs on the red carpet were very different from any photograph I had ever taken on a red carpet.”
“I felt so relaxed and ready,” the American Horror Story alum continued.
“I knew I felt great and I looked great,” she recalled. ‘We had a wonderful little sketch with Antony (Starr) and Giancarlo (Esposito). It was a lovely night.’
He added: “That night was really special.”
During her interview, Bates also revealed that she was inspired to lose weight but, more importantly, get healthy when she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes around 2017.
“I was really scared,” Bates admitted.
She said the first change she made was listening to her body, which she explained was advice from her niece.
“When we are full, we experience an involuntary sigh,” he said of what he learned and does now. “I just pushed the plate.”

When she finally addressed Ozempic’s rumors about how she lost weight, Bates said she lost most of the weight by becoming in tune with her body and training herself to stop eating when she felt like she was full.
Bates also explained that he paid more attention to the food he ate.
“I used to eat terribly: hamburgers, Coca-Cola and pizza,” he told the outlet before adding that he no longer eats after 8 p.m.
He said he was able to lose 80 pounds through diet and lifestyle changes, however, he crossed the 100-pound mark with the help of Ozempic.
“There’s been a lot of talk that I was able to do this because of Ozempic,” he said while addressing fan speculation for the first time.
‘But I have to make it clear to people that this was hard work for me, especially during the pandemic. It’s very difficult to say that you’ve had enough.

He added: “People always ask, ‘Don’t you want a coach?’ No, I really don’t know. I don’t want anyone on my shoulder. It’s very important for me to keep this going. I don’t want to slip.
