Poolman is scheduled for a limited release in U.S. theaters this Friday, eight months after its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film was heavily attacked by critics after its debut, to the point that it currently has a dismal 23% rating on rotten tomatoes.

“Not only was it the worst movie I saw during the fall festival season, but it would probably be one of the worst movies in any year it was released,” he wrote Variety Critic Owen Gleiberman.
