Celebrity Big Brother contestant Louis Walsh boasted he raised £5m from Jedward – that’s 25 times more than the twins made themselves.

The Irish duo, 32, hit back at the pop manager, 71, on Wednesday via X, claiming none of ‘disgusting’ Louis’ acts liked him, including Girls Aloud and Ronan Keating, who Louis has called a ‘p* **k’ on the reality show.

MailOnline can reveal that while Louis pocketed millions from the 2009 X Factor stars, there is a huge discrepancy between what he and Jedward earned.

Louis ran Jedward from 2009 to 2013 and according to their company Planet Jedward’s accounts they had £194,596 in reserves at the time they sacked Louis – which is around 25 times less than the £5M Louis claims to have earned from them.

Dublin-born John and Edward Grimes also owed £130,203 to creditors but had £110,775 cash in the bank.

After dumping Louis to be replaced by their late mother Sussana Condron, they had the last laugh as they earned at least £2m from their own appearances on CBB in 2011 and 2017 and have made a fortune from personal appearances and gigs since.

Although recent accounts reveal that the twins may have peaked, as the latest accounts from the 2022 financial year show Planet Jedward has just £4,134 in reserves.

In that year it made a profit of only £18,248.

The row started during a CBB chat with Corrie star Colson Smith and Louis branded them ‘creepy’.

Colson had asked Louis, who managed the pair for four four years: ‘How was Jedward?’

The Irishman replied, ‘They were disgusting.’

Colson said: ‘They’ve done well’ and Louis said: ‘I got £5m from them. I swear on my mother’s life.’

Clearly impressed, Colson snapped back: ‘Damn, I wish I had a Jedward.’

Louis doubled down on his opinion, adding: ‘And they were disgusting. But they were news. It was great for the show. It was all about the show.’

After Louis made those comments, Jedward raged in a tweet: ‘Louis Walsh is a cold hearted b*****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mum died.’

Then added: ‘Louis Walsh b****d talking about us to our best friend Tara Reid!

‘Girls hate Louis! Jedward hates Louis! Ronan Keating hates Louis! All future actions should be made aware of how this VILE man really is.

‘Louis reopened these wounds all by himself, being mean and disrespectful, we will not have our character taken away. Justice will be done.’
