Agatha All Along was first put into development in October 2021 as an untitled spinoff of WandaVision.

What followed was a series of different titles: first Agatha: House of Harkness in November 2021, then Agatha: Coven of Chaos in July 2022.

In May, Marvel Television revealed its final title.

Agatha (Kathryn) debuted in the 2021 television series WandaVision, first known as Agnes, the nosy neighbor of Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany).

It was revealed towards the end of the nine-episode series that Agnes was actually an ancient witch named Agatha Harkness, who came to investigate the mythical control Wanda has exerted over the town of Westfield.

While attempting to gain her magic, Agatha battles Wanda, who prevails, stripping her of her powers and trapping her within the “Agnes” persona.

The series takes its title from a song released during the seventh episode of WandaVision, when Agatha’s nefarious nature was revealed.

The catchy tune, which plays during the Instagram ad, went viral and even topped the music charts.

Agatha, played by Kathryn, debuted in 2021's WandaVision, initially disguised as Agnes, the nosy neighbor of Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, and her husband Vision.
